While scouring the accapella section i came accross a cracking accapella called lost and found by Dvickers.
EDIT:
Iv just updated this with the finished thing..
Iv added a little string part in there as i felt the lower mid range was a bit empty in places, and iv done a little bit of a re-arainge nothing fancy just a snip in parts, there are still a couple of treble issues here n there but due to time restraints iv not been able to iron them all out...
Please do have a listen as any and all constructive input is welcome..
Oh and another big thank you to Derek for the vocal :)

If you have time take a listen and give Spudsy some feedback.
This is great. Who cares what the critic has to say haha. Let's all make music based on what he wants to hear. Great spin on the accapella by the way. Everything blends together well and my ears were happy.
Man this is brilliant mate, had me right from the first note, funky grooovy intro, great beat and the stunning vocal of Daniel, have heard some of his works before he is a man with a stunning sexy vocal, which has come through in this master piece, one of my all time fav's from you Spudsy, sensational mate...Peace...
This track just turned my day around for the better. It feels like something you'd hear in Ibiza. Excellent work Dvickers on the vocals, and Spudsy on the remix. Keep it up!
All my stuff is me playing and made from scratch, the only loops i may have used would have been drum loops from the sample magic or vengence packs but i never use them "as is" i always re-edit them and chop them up so i can ad my own swing and timings.
Yeah i may (with Derricks approval of course) Look to release this officialy in the summer as i have recently mastered it properly and its been going down really well in the clubs i work.
This is a really sweet mix. It's got a great beat and is uplifting, if not downright happy. And technically, it's really crisp with great separation and arrangement of levels. Really great work!
Thank you Bro.. Looperman has been a really great site for feedback and im really very humbled and spured on at the same time when i get such great feedback on a track.. so thank you dude, your a star....
You know what's funny and strange? I just reread the review I left you way back whenever, and your response. I didn't really get it before, because then and even up until now I've always felt like you were one of those people that were so good that you must know that what you do rocks. And honestly at times it has even kind of made me not reluctant but not in a rush to give you advice and or critique your tracks, because i felt like you were so good already how am i going to be able to help.
And it's just funny for a few reasons, now and in retrospect, now that I reread your response to my review of this track.
And gosh, I spent years feeling exactly the way you summed up there. Looperman. Thanks.
And you too.
Cheers bro.
And the track. Well do I really need to say it?
WTF! Of course I do!! (shakes his head) ..... Killer killer track man. Great work. This track puts my version in a box in the ground with a flaming shovel of glory.
Sorry for the late reply, been pimping myself out musically, well trying anyway but not many people having it, lol.
Thank you for coming by again and re-commenting dude..
Yeah i really ment it man, all my mates like either Korn, Backsteet boys (dont ask, lool) or Bassline (bit like grime but with 4x4 beats instead of 2 step breaks)
So i really dont have anyone to expose my music to, to garner ideas or find out if im doing ok at this whole music thing.
My Girl (bless her cotton socks) is fed up of me going "is that ok to you?" "Does that sound like that?" "Am i making progress?"
All the poor moo wants is for me to turn it down really, lolol.
Yeah, for all its tiny niggly faults Looperman is superb, love it.
Flaming shovel of glory?... dude u know im nicking that saying now, lol it tickled me that one, lol.
Thank you again for your kind words dude, your one of the Gems on the site :)
I don't think i'll write as much as critic1 and i really do not know much about dance (more into hip hop) but this is real upbeat and nice. Actually inspires me to make some sort of electronic beat
nice chilled out layout, transfers are ok, however i really think that from the break into the main you really need to cut out the orchestral aspects and bring in some really uplifting melody, maybe interpret the orch's in the rise and throw in a big kick and snare build with a riser, just to add a little tension to the track. so ye reasonable layout with nice chords, just like i said a big melody would kill this track.
Dynamics:
i think you need to look at your hi hats, rather than boosting the high end which i think you have done, try a little technique i picked up, in terms of EQ, i try to stick the rule "always reduce never boost," obviously sometimes it needs a slight couple of DB to stand out, however if it is over used frequencies will fight in that range and you'll receive a phase effect, i tend to use a high cut EVERYTHING at 13KHz, also i take away as many frequencies as i can that aren't required, such as some low end on hi hats, just because you can't hear them doesn't mean they aren't there,
also i think your kick needs a little more punch, try layering it with a similar kick, and discreetly throw in a a very shortly enveloped hi hat, this will help it to cut through the mix,
your bass is slightly overpowering on the G key, try using a low cut at around 40Hz, also Nexus initiate patch is ok i guess however i think you should consider layering that bass up with other presets from the ROMpler or if your any good at synthesis then make your own square synth and layer you "Saw initiate" with that, saw's and square are more filthy than an old guy on viagra when they get together.
any ways, i hope this helps you, let me know if you get it sorted out, or if you want help on a melody give me a shout, i write melodies in seconds usually, keep up the good work, and hope to hear from you again soon :D
I thought you may pop over for a listen and iv been dreding the review as i noticed you've got a bit of a gob on you:P lolol.
Cheers for all the pointers dude. im at the point were i have the ideas and can get them mostly down into a peice but i really need to clock up somemore hours behind my desk to work at the finishing touch's & find out what sounds work where and just really get the whole of a genre under my belt, mastered, down to a fine art.
I completely agree with all your points too fella. i can hear there are things wrong (i knew the treble was ruff as a d@gs ar$$)but knowing exactly were to go to rectify them kinda eludes me in the most part.
Altho im getting a lil better at spotting frequency issues and stuff...
I like your indepth pointers so if you could take the time out on a few of my other tracks i would be indebted to you.
Oh and by the way "our servey says UHHH URHHHHH.." it was not Nexus on the b-line :P lol
it was a couple of trilogy's and a ms20 was in there somewhere too i believe.
cheers for the pointers tho, im gonna have a little flutter with the whole 40hz thingy on the bass :)
You're killing me man. You just killing me. I listen to my remixes and think. Yea, I'm doing pretty good. Then I hear this clear and clever mix. You're musical as well as technically adept. My mixes sound so dark....I want that brightness of production you have. In other words I love where you went and are going with this track. Fav
Thank you for taking the time out to listen to the track, glad you like it dude, everyone strives to try and get that clean and clear mix, and if i got even a little bit close to that i am well happy:)
The style is called uk funky, its getting quite big in the underground london club scene at the mo.....
Yeah its a cracking accapella aint it:) one of the best on here for sure, and loads of real quality mix's from the other looperman members to.
We should release an ep of them, lolol.
Ta for passing by and having a listen, glad you liked the track and the arraingment.
I was a little hessitant about putting this mix on here because i had done 3 others for this accapella (house, d&b, acoustic and this one) and the style is not really well know by alot of people, but you guys have been great.
THis is terrific man! Great sound...Great arrangement around the vox, and you really captured the feel of the vox with the melodies you have created. I'm favin this one! Real summer feeling to it!
Cheers dude, i was a bit worried because there are so many strong mixs of this track already doing the rounds on here, but the track has been really well recieved, so thank you :)
Spudsy your tunes are vivid rainbows, from the overall feeling of them to the nuances and attention to detail. Interesting to listen to, and a pleasure to hear. Great work.
Thank you for such an uplifting response to this track.
Its been a bit of a struggle to keep doing music as i dont really know anyone who does production and when u dont have feedback its really difficult to know if anybody would be feeling the tracks you spend hours making.
So a big thank you for your comments, they really really are very much appreciated.....
This stands out when compared to other songs using this pella. I really like the bass line that you've created. It compliments the beats and the vocals at the same time. Really cool mix! Nice one!
one of the top! really? dude thats well kool... lol. id love to remix whatever ur willing to chuck my way dude... it was up to download but i didnt think it would be the right thing to do without asking u and plus the person who downloaded it didnt comment so i thought "how rude" and removed the link rite away. i will send u a link to a good quality copy from my sendspace account.
thanks again for the vox, there wicked dude.
Hey man! Love what you did with my acapella!!!!! Really great job! It's in my top favorites of the remixes of my vocals. Let me know if you want to do another one! :) Derek Vickers
hi mate great work youve done really well to fit the vocal round the track, or was it vice versa?? lol. any way good work mate, its like one of those choons you'd hear on holiday that would stick in your head!!
Cheers for taking the time out to comment on the track.
Made the track for the accapella after hearing it on here.
The style is Uk Funky which is big abroad and in the london clubs at the mo..

Description : I have been using LooperMan for practice for some time now. This my most recent track. The only loop in the song is BabyGee's vocals. Free to download and if you repost tag me so I can share it as well.
Description : A psychedelic techno cello epic. It's not really techno as it's only 110 BPM but something like that (eg breakbeat), with lots of banging beats and arpeggiated acid synths, plus a whole load of my layered cello playing techniques. There aren't that many synths used but they do a lot of work and are carefully automated. No guitar. Drums are mostly a lot of drum loops, supported by a few programmed acoustic drumkits. Very busy and complicated with loads of different sections (funky, chilled, fast, heavy) that make up a constantly progressing trip. I don't know if there's any other cello music like this so let me know if you think there is. Interesting feedback appreciated - criticism, praise, ideas etc. Enjoy...
Description : Summer type dance track, for those precious 2 weeks off, if you can get them! Made around a selection of different loops and some keys from me.
Description : Inspired by an experimental percussion piece I heard. Rhythmic ticking builds into pounding beats and heavy soundscapes. I haven't done any mixing or mastering yet so tell me what you think. Any and all comments are welcome.
Description : A song about a damaged soul. Sadly, based on a true story. Gorgeous loops here are by Hardstyle Rythm, Aboe, and Princess Hollywood. All basslines by that fiendish genius Rasputin. Take a bow, gentlemen
Description : Pretty basic dance track. Was experimenting with the Falcon synth plugin, hence the name. Instrumentation for the melody lines might be a bit unusual, more orchestral. Vocoder is from the Icarus synth plugin, a great new instrument.
great track
PS It also bothers a smidge me when tracks are downloaded without as much as a comment :(
Lol altho Critic can be harsh, the comments do kinda ring tru with the track.
Ta for the uplifting response to the piece, really glad you liked it.
