Description : (UPDATED VERSION) This is my attempt at a Fantasy Metal type song. (You know....the kind of song you fly dragons to.) All the guitar is played by me. The drums are Addictive vst. The synths and chorus mere made using Sytrus. The bass track was made with FL Slayer. This track contains no loops or samples.
I have lots of respect for you not using samples or loops. Thats always a good way to go. Beautiful song here. I like the guitar the pad and the piano. Great job with this. I think it turned out great. Keep it up you deff have talent.
Love the musicianship man. Excellent song. Good sounds as well. The mix needs a little work but other than that, I'm loving it. You put my guitar and piano skills to shame. I'd recommend putting a normalization effect on your tracks to even them to 0dB without peaking and then do your mixdown. That helps me at times. Rock on, Bro.
Thank you for the review. I need as much feedback as possible. I did what you said about normalizing the tracks and it is defiantly improving the mix. Thank you for that piece of info. ( I know little about mastering, levels etc.) Ill post the re-mastered version so you can give me some advice. Thanks again man.
Cool track, I liked the pad melody intro. Nice harmonies throughout. Sweet bass riff. At 2:28-2:52 I was wishing you would include the double-bass pattern in that part, but u went with the crash cymbols. It sounded good either way. I liked the orchestra movement section..and then how it goes right into the guitar riff at the end. Nice job
Hey again Davy.
I must say that its been awhile since I've heard such an interesting intro. I really like this attempt on fantasy metal.
The only things I think could have been better was the volume on the rythm-guitars vs the bass at some parts. And the drums. But then again, I'm pretty picky on drums. Would love to add some new drums to this one if you let me.
Keep this up - I really enjoyed it.
Thank you... I glad you enjoyed my track. I am in the middle of trying to master this track but I have little experience mastering tracks so it is proving difficult for me. I would love to hear what you could do for the drums if you still wanted to try. Let me know what you need from my end and Ill send it.

Description : I asked Danke if I could add some vocals to his track Future Machine and he kindly agreed and sent me the track. The lyrics are about a soldiers experience in war as he and his trench mates are told to get up and out of their trench and attack the enemy across open fields. I can only imagine the fear, tension and chaos that goes through one's mind at that moment.
Description : I discovered Meshuggah around 2003 and was blown away by the power, complexity and super Heavy sound of their music. Their "Nothing" album marked the switch to 8 string guitars and pushed Heavy Metal into a whole new territory. My track is a variant cover of their song "Nebulous". I have stayed pretty close to the original but added a few dynamic elements of my own. Its loud, its super heavy and way out there...Beyond Nebulous.
Description : This unconventional metal track is dedicated to Valvedriver https://www.looperman.com/users/profile/841435 though it's not a parody of his fine music or me actively trying to sound like it. I struggled for months with the first few minutes of this track knowing that I must be able to take it somewhere deeper, more psychedelic and powerful. Then I loaded some sampled choir voice instruments, as used in my track Reckful https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/160356 and suddenly found myself happily in Valveland - not a place I visit often. Feeling amply Valvedriven and newly inspired, I added the last few minutes fairly easily and very quickly. So: it's a twisting, turning mixture of grunge, menacing ambient, mystical metal and ultra-heavy funk. Instruments: electric guitar+bass, synth basses, female choir voices, one synth pad, some other synths on the nastier side of things and a few programmed heavy acoustic drumkits playing a mixture of triplets and straighter grooves. Interesting thoughts appreciated. Favourite bits? Shit bits? Please listen on good headphones/speakers as there's a lot of heavy bass in this. Now get ready to rock: balls out, hands in the air and with rebellious joy in your heart. Just try not to headbang the hell out of your laptop. Go!
Description : Whats up guys?! Been a while I know. Iv'e moved around a lot but have finally settled down and have been hard at work with my metal band. We are being professionally recorded now, a very big step up from the last recording of my band that I posted here. Anyways, hope you guys enjoy! We are, Raze The Pyre.
