Description : This is an older track written by a member of the band I played with from 2005-2008 featuring yours truly on the mic. Recorded on a Tascam 8 Track digital recorder. Figured I'd upload it just for fun.

hi cinas thanks for checking my track out hope it wasnt t unpleasant :P been checking ur tracks like ur vox has a raw edgy vibe to it , saying hi from the uk
Saw your post about selecting a microphone and decided to check out your tracks. Seems that you haven't been on Looperman for a while, which is a shame because you have a really good vocal style I think and it would be great to hear more from you. Personally, I'd like acapellas but that's just being selfish I guess. I think the tonal quality of your voice is quite distinct and although it is more bluesy or rock-oriented it might be really interesting to meld it into an EDM track and break some new ground. So, I hope we'll hear something from you here on Looperman when you get your new mic! :)
well I know U ain't answer but I'm writing this just cause I see noone else hasn't mentioned these criticisms ...

if we paint the musical form of thisd track & take it as
A-B-A'-B'-A''-B''-C-A-B-C'
it starts groovy & U sing well in part A buT since part B begins @ 1:09 then U don't sing good enough in some moments & this variation & changed accord doesn't sound such groovy .
B' & B'' are the same ( instrumentally) B & tottaly we\ve repeated A & B & also even C too much .
+ I don't know about your band & I'm not a rocker , but I've been a serious heavy metal composer & player & think a rock band needs a serious guitar player ...someone who can do something wonderfull or special , unique or technical with guitar ...who was absent in this track ...
tottaly this was not a serious or prof rock track , but it was an idea which had potential ...
I most definitely agree with your assessment re: guitars. We went through a lot of guitarists in that band before we split. Never really found "the one".
Vocally, the track could definitely have been more solid but I try not to beat myself up too bad about it. It was a long time ago when I was angsty fledgling with little experience recording or mixing. There's some sour notes in the second half of the song and some odd noises I attribute to bad breathing technique but a lot changes in almost 10 years. Hopefully my next project won't suffer from the same issues.
Great band, great vocals, great song (I think I see a theme developing here). You have to love the old Tascam's...they give such a great texture to a recording. You are definitely in a league of your own when it comes to vocal work, absolutely stellar. Like Humps said, it is nice to finally hear a complete song from you. Beautiful job.
Yeah they gave me a pretty good amount of control when it came to melody and such. Aaaah the good old days.
Hopefully soon I'll have a little better direction for my solo endeavors and I can get something new up.
Nice track ~ sweet guitars, good composition, some rhythmic changes, and your vocals are great (another feather in the cap of my fellow Texans). All in all, really good.
Nice to hear your vocals in the context of a full song. Ya, beatl nailed it, Pat B all the way. Thought your vox could have been a bit more out front, your soft parts were a bit ummm soft, haha. The music was very well done and I very much enjoyed it! Nice job with this one Nas!

Description : This is my newest creation, at a stage very near to completion. No third-party mastering or mixing, as with all my tracks. Just have to fix a few tiny things. I FINALLY WAS ABLE TO MIX EVERYTHING IN THE SAME SESSION. This song has all human-played instruments - no quantization or MIDI! My brother does all the vocals except for the interlude part, which I do. My other brother plays the rhythm guitar (a Gibson Les Paul Custom - only one of 12 in the world!!) and I play the accompanying guitar (a Johnny Mar Jag and PRS). He has a lot of guitars :P A good friend of ours, Ronnie, plays the bass and another friend, Freddie, plays the drums. The drum track was done in one take (had to use an electric drum set due to time constraints - but acoustic kits are so much better). Overall, pretty satisfied with the result. Let me know your thoughts.
Description : Feel free to check out the lyrics video on YT as well :) This is a new track based on the great vocals by Ashes and Dreams! Again, a mix of electronic/progressive/rock, any feedback is welcome
Description : The first track I sing on. Cheap stage mic & no fancy plugins. Heavily guitar laden to the point it's got a bit of a shoegaze thing going on. I pulled the lyrics out of my ass & yes, they're a bit silly.
Description : BIG UPDATE 26/02/2014 - So, this was an 18 min track that I have now successfully split in two. 2nd half I uploaded a few weeks ago (Things That Should Always Be, with the bouncy 2 min reggae intro). This is the first half, which has a new mix, a mega chill, meditative ending and a little jazz thrown in for good measure. Takes a few minutes for beat to really kick in. Constantly evolving electric guitar, bass guitar, acoustic drums and lead banjo driven by fat, busy 80BPM grooves with a bit of a reggae and shuffle feel. Also: synth choir voices, dulcimer, violin, cello, shimmering pads. Builds up gradually to nice and rocking and then gets taken back down for the big comedown chill. I really don't know what sort of genre this is except 'far out'. I think it sounds more like a live band than one guy playing instruments and manipulating a DAW. Not my best track but a bit of blissful, sunny island fun. Real positive vibe here so I hope you give it a chance to unfold and unfurl. Sit back, clear your schedule and immerse yourself in these trippy sonic experiments cooked up deep in my off-planet underground laboratory. I have to send the MP3 to Earth via space courier (not cheap).
