Just decided to check all the links to tracks posted on Soundcloud, using this loop. Of 29 tracks (a few were removed), only 6 acknowledged the source of the loop, giving credit to the Looperman member. Three contained links for purchasing the track/beat created from the loop. None of those three provided any acknowledgement of the original loop.
I guess it is something that the people who used the loop at least advised the loop's creator using the comments. That was good. And, it seems that the loop creator has reposted several of the tracks/beats on his own Soundcloud page, which suggests that he isn't that fussed about not getting any explicit recognition. But, it still isn't right in my view.
I am bit confused. So far, I 've checked three beats made and posted to Youtube by people who did not credit you, 100prct. And one of them, is trying to sell the beat, which basically is just your loop with some drums added in. I thought that wasn't allowed under Looperman rules governing use of loops. Even if I'm not right about that, it's not cool. Your loop is really nice. Your creativity and work deserves to be acknowledged.
In my opinion I would appreciate people to give me credit for my loop, but looperman is a non-profit website so anyone using my loops should not feel obligated to give me any credit. On the other hand, like I said before, I would very much appreciate some form of credit when using my loops.
