thank you man, i seem to be getting a lot of comments on here and from friends that i should start to MC again, but im definitely not a writer by any means.i really appreciate the compliment though.so anyways i took everyones advice and started up again, which i will have a new track up with me and cataclysm in a couple days so keep an eye out, the song will be called "a small day tomorrow"

yeah man i had a lot of fun doing this one. my friend had me download something called antbar. and it's just killer cause you can grab videos from where ever. it just opened up a whole bunch of ideas for me

reason isn't really all that confusing, in fact man, if you ever have any questions....i can probably answer a lot of them, and if i can't i can point you in the direction of a video that will.it's a phenomenal program to work with simply because of the extreme detail you can go into and the amount of sounds you yourself can put into the program. i say you should give it another try

man thanks for the suggestions, my biggest thing is that im not the biggest fan of all new york hip hop....mainly because of lyrical content.....but my god the beats are slammin. if only i could find out what kind of stuff they're sampling i would be golden

de la soul was pretty much exactly what i was going for....so i guess thank you for the compliment! and to answer that question, it's a little bit of both. i had a SLIGHTLY choppy drum line already, but after we recorded and i put it into reason, i cut the drums up alot more to fit with the stops in his vocals

man thank you, that review really meant a lot to me.really because i feel the same way about the last part. i had a really hard time figuring out where i was going to go with the song....and when i thought i was going to go crazy....i came up with that.now everytime i hear that part i just smile. but to tell you the truth, the scratches were cut up scratch samples i recorded and played out on my akai mpd (i dont have tables anymore) but people say i got talent for a scrawny white boy LOL

Technically I CAN scratch, but i havent had a set of tables set up for so long...to be honest, i find a scratch sound and cut it into little pieces and play it out on my akai....same effect really.but im sure i wouldnt mind doing something over one of your tracks
