Mixed and mastered well! I like that soft, mono-legato-ish tune going in the background. The variation of patterns, automations and arpeggios gives that space and electronic vibe. Even though ascending arps are always repeated, it doesn't get old to hear! Which means, i love it!
Thanks a lot for your feedback! I appreciate it, this site has taught me a lot this way. Thanks for listening :)
This track has also taken me longer than I would care to admit, but I have learned some new things, so that's good.
Relaxing tune, with some awesome synthetic interest! Nice representation of the various ranges as well. I am thinking of something as listening which might add to my enjoyment of this, which is a second bass for certain sections which would be less "fundamental." This one sounds very sine wave, or possibly heavily low pass filtered. Maybe it would add some sonic depth, I don't know. This had a very "down to earth" feel, which left me nicely calm. Now for some coffee... ha ha. Either way, very nice piece! Fave!
The bass is heavily low pass filtered :)
I do think that the fundamental bass is necessary for the future bass genre.
Even though I have put a lot of time in this song, it somehow felt rushed. I just wanted to be done with it and start a new project. As a fellow producer, I think you probably understand this feeling. I have put a lot of work in it, but it didn't feel finished, in a sense.
Some projects never do, I guess.
I have never considered adding a different, lighter, bass in the song. I do think it would influence the range of the song positively. I will look into it! Thanks for the advice.
I have made that synth from scratch. It is not entirely based on a plug-in, I have used my KORG Monotron and sampled it. Then I put it in Directwave and voila. Just put a lot of reverb on it and you have a dreamy sounding synth.
My biggest problems were rises, build-up and the beats, so I am glad you liked the points that have been my biggest flaws! :D
Thanks for your time and your comment!
Thanks for listening! I am glad it has a good flow according to you, that was one of the things that I tried to work on (having good risers etc). Personally, I thought that the midpart was a bit too long, but I am glad that you liked the whole song :)
Thanks!
Hey my pleasure to add my thoughts for you. And remember they are only my opinions so take that for what it is worth. That being said, upon further listening what I think I would do differently is that you have this awesome build up and I was anticipating an explosion of sound or something but you brought it down with no percussion, just some intriguing synth melodies. That became sort of a meh moment for me listening. It´s for me in the arranging of the build-up and denouement of the track, if that makes sense to you.
Cru
The reasoning behind that was to show the emptiness of space, but you are not the first that has suggested this. The idea comes better to fruitition in the beginning. My friend that I showed this track to, before uploading, had the same critique.
So I actually agree with you, I could have made some kind of explosion of sound to signal a mission failure or something. Rises, percussion and bass have been difficult for me. But I have fixed 2 of the 3 in this track ;)
I do think that it can be quite personal whether or not someone likes that denouement of the track, but I thoroughly agree with you that if I tried to make a track for a wide audience, the rise should be solved in this manner. Thanks for your time! I will keep your advice in mind the next time I will make a track!

I tend to spend the first minute or two, atleast, in reading previous comments and replies... while doing so, I began to wonder about the "casio tune" reference. Possibly there is something which I am missing, but I do not hear a Casio board in this,
Back to the topic at hand though... I do entirely enjoy the song, and it's composition! It is really not something I usually would put in the electro bin, which is a good thing. This is far deeper and more creative than the usual copycat pop electro, which even I have have fallen prey to. I would instantly think "electronic," which is also good, since I love all things electronic. It's one of the few ways which I fail in regards to environmentalism, unless you count the salvage and repurpose aspect, which is probably not even legal... ha ha.
I'm listening again, because there is simply something about your tunes which get to me. This one sounds pretty original to me, and the sounds are not ones which I hear all of the time. The slow modulations give this track a real edge. Seems like a lot of people ignore that sort of thing when working in a digital workstation environment.
I've been noticing about lots of songs lately, the ones which seem longer than they actually are. I think I used to think of this as a bad thing, however I'm starting to think that it is a virtue. This song has that effect at this moment, and in a purely good way.
To address the 'casio tune': I thought, with a little imagination, that 0:30 and onward could kind of sound like a keyboard with distortion! I didn't use it though, but I like people imagining stuff with my music :) To create the sound I used Harmor, with distortion. But you are completely right, I haven't used a Casio keyboard! I might have left the impression that I did use it though.
Let me just start with: man, you know your stuff. I have been listening to a few of your songs on this site and I think that your skill level is way higher than mine. So the fact that you like my music and the details that I try to put in them, is amazing. I have been researching genres and microgenres, but the things that I make never quite fit a box. Which is a good thing. So I agree with the fact that it isn't the usual electro! And in music, you can indulge, right ;). You don't need to be environmental all the time hahahaha.
And I am glad my story gets to you :). Thanks for all the compliments and for the amazing fave!

Here I am, after a little bit of time... I know, I'm sorry about that! This is a very groovy piece! I'm digging the organ parts very much. The composition and mix are both on point. I guess the only drawback of this song is when compared to how great it would be with real instruments. This is especially evident in the guitar, due to the lack of realism in the envelope and stuff. It is something which I am getting used to over time though, as it shows up in many songs. The only part which struck me on the organ part was the drastic pitch bend... something which is not present on vintage organs. It did however sound cool, and I realize that not everyone gives a crap about tech from 50-60 years ago! Thank you for sharing the song with me! Fave!
Thanks for listening! As I said, it is an older piece that I made, so it isn't as advanced and refined as it could be. I have a guitar at home, but I broke my mic to record, which is a real damn shame. It has quite a lot of white noise now, which also gets picked up if I try to use Vocodex in Flstudio. You were so positive about 9 AM streets that I wanted to share more of my work. But this work has also showed me that the Looperman community also consists of good critics! Glad you enjoyed it :)
I very much liked the casio tune...the track has got much progressivity and that's cool...electro but felt it is more than that...probably great music...:-)
Thanks for the comment and the handshake! You are completely right about the casio tune, I didn't even realize! I am really glad that you liked the progression of the track. I have tried to convey a story and there is a small easter egg at the end of the song that people still have to discover ;)
Thanks for liking the music, I love this site for the amount of feedback it gives! Cheers!
So the first 1:35 was absolutely mesmerizing. completely loved it. then it kind of dragged along a bit until the last 1:45 then again amazing electro sounds. So this is a tune I want you to play with because there are moments of genius running throughout.
great work

To be honest, this is the first time I have made an electro track, even though I use the electro music theory of SeamlessR in a lot of my songs! Until I joined this site I have been experimenting with EDM and micro genres. Thanks a lot for the feedback, but I do have a question. Did it drag along because of the length? Because I repeated the melody? Or was it because of the drop in volume and timbre around 2:20?
If you have the time, I would love to hear what made it drag along according to you, for future tracks :)
Also, thank you for calling my track mesmerizing and saying that it has moments of genius throughout! It's awesome that you think that.
Wow, this is pretty well done! All of the sounds are used well to fit the theme. I think you did a great job of capturing the idea and fleshing it out into music.
Thanks a lot for your time! I am glad you thought it fit the theme, that was my main concern. If the music that is a product of that also captures the idea, then my job here is done ;)
Also, really nice of you to also leave a comment on my music!
It seems apparent while listening that you are also a morning person, and I am happy to hear that in your music! I am really enjoying this audio journey! Pleasing and playful! When you replied - "I like convincing people and composing music is just a different way of convincing people." - You essentially spoke my mind for me. This is how I feel a lot of the time. Often, music and art seem to be the only legal methods of "convincing people." I am slightly envious of your position in The Netherlands, and I wish I could be there, if only for a short time. I fear that this life we know is fleeting, and I am craving experiences of new kinds. You have made an awesome song here, which speaks to me... and I thank you for the DL! Fave!
As you have already noticed, I am a new member of this community. Before I had no plays on for example Soundcloud. People actually listening to the music is amazing, so thank you for listening :)
I also know that feeling, that craving for new experiences. The only way to satisfy that feeling is to actually do something new. For me, that was composing music. But talking to people about their experiences also helps, because in a way you experience the world vicariously. I have another song in this style that I already made. I will be uploading that as well. Normally, I make EDM. So I don't know if there will be a follow up in this style. Thanks for sharing your story, I'm glad I convinced you with my music ;)
Very interesting track, Allochtune! I like the jazzy feel. Nice beat in behind - ties in really well with the piano work. So, you need to tell us. What is it with lawyers in the Netherlands making electronic dance music? Law school must be really different. Over here in Canada, my view always was that law school was specifically designed to beat all the creativity out of you and crush any artistic sensibility that remained. Took me years to recover! :)
Thanks for listening! I'm glad you liked it! To be honest, it is a different kind of creativity, creativity with words. I like convincing people and composing music is just a different way of convincing people.
Law school here probably is quite different, because we don't need to follow other non-legal courses in order to get a law degree. Therefore there isn't really a law school, just studying law at the university! (I assume it works the same in Canada as the US)
At least passion for music is universal :)
I've heard of vaporwave but have no real idea what it sounds like.
Great piano loop and a chilled little beat.
Then a cute little lead with some notable bends in it.
I'd like the drums to be a bit more varied and perhaps build into something more powerful. I think that would make the track feel more powerful. And more interesting. Otherwise, it's good, positive, chilled music. With a hint of jazz from the timing of that piano loop.
Thank you for your comment and for returning the favour! ;) It isn't really vaporwave, just vaporwave inspired. Real vaporwave is much slower, has more reverb and delay! If you google 'macintosh plus' you will find the most famous example.
I agree with you about the drums! For me, it is the most difficult part to give the song that 'oompf'. Thanks a lot for your compliments! I haven't really reached an(y) audience yet, so I am surprised at all the positive reactions that I am getting!
It's great to hear that someone likes my music :)

The piano loop is well incorporated throughout.
The subtle pitchbend at times in the melody has great effect.
