Wow, I love the fx you've used at the start. I was expecting more of a sparse, dark techno/house tune from there, but I love where you took it instead. If there's one minor complaint, it would be that I'm not a fan of the synth you introduce around 1:15 mark and use through the rest of the song. For some reason it just doesn't seem to fit in with the rest of the tune. Not the composition of it, but the sound. Maybe try a different synth? However, that's probably just personal taste factoring in, so take my comments with a grain of salt. Overall though, I really liked this.
thanks, i had two ways to go, i choose this as it feels more like a anthem rave thing , i wanted something that cut over everything else, appreciated thanks again
Great atmospheric pads here. Really subtle texture shifts, too. This is a very chilled out piece and would certainly work in that sub-genre. I really dig the shift into what sounds like a tiny bell.
Yeah, or should I say Yee Haw! Something Mariconne might have made, if he were several decades younger and doing this kind of work now rather than in the 60's and 70's.
I love how it's been boot strapped into a dynamic and very current sound while retaining this retro-feel. Incredibly catchy, and can't be listened to just once.
Nicely done. Takes for a trip, and a long and pleasent one. Sometimes sounded little empty, and i felt unbalanced pan at times, but you've said it's a work in progress, so
This one really pulls up the memories of similarities - Genesis (early Peter Gabriel), Tangerine Dream, and even Robert Fripp all come to mind. I love how you've touched earlier traditions with the sound and sensibility here.
thanks, ill certainly look into it as it is deep in my foundations, also thanks , yes the harmonicy thing going on takes me back, very frippy and i didnt even link untill you mentioned it, thanks my friend
ps id love your op on my new pop song scatter! retro yes....
Hi there.....some nice pad sounds happening...to me it's rolling past just a little too fast for the swell of sound as it transients across your changes.......it's a cool piece though!...cheers planet :)
Yeah that "funky retro" guitar really works! A bit too fast for a western theme for me, but when it comes to it I always have Morricone's wonderful melodies coming to my mind, which progresses much slower... But the ambient instruments going along with it really sounds cowboy!
Nice work!
:D I just love the hell out of this sound. It has such a great Retro feel to it. I can't tell what it is but it sounds like a funk guitar but just that part alone grips me and won't let go.
tHANKS! theres two things you could mean, the arpegiator on my yamaha makes the early new order sort of sequence or its that m50 sound with a bit of reverb on it that plays the melody, i must upload both as dl loops soon, and thanks for the positive feedback! welcomed!
The mix sounds nice, good texturing, but I would quantize those beats. There are a couple hits in that loop that are pretty far behind the beat and it gives this track a loping feel that I don't think does the style justice.
thanks, yeah if its the bass beats your refering to its actually an arpegiator thing so i have to adjust that, otherwise i record of my keys direct so i dont have quantise but im learning my cubase and will eventually edit it there, thanks again Cheshire Cat
there is so much music happening here, it just needs a more powerful output level and some dynamics to heighten what you've done with the composition. thanks, man!
Loved the tuned sensibility of the percussion, and it's always refreshing to a rhythm freak like myself! The melodic bits and harmony really achieve the best of ambiance, too. Emotional state successfully invoked!
thanks!
the title is actually not as compklex as it sounds , my old singer from the 80s Thomas whom ive recently got in touch with wanted me to redo a song called paper Tiger, i can even remeber it lol!!! (old age) so I said move on , new century new songs lol!
thanks again, always love your reviews
Hi and greetz from Berlin to the association... Firstly i like to say for me it is closer to the chillout genre than to pop. But however it invites to lean back and rest to dream a little. Sadly no Dld. I like the fine melody line and of course the bells. They work pretty fine - not to flashy but present. Using reverbs and other plugs is essential. Good Job. Peace.
i would totally do my belly dance work out to this track. very sensual. love all of the elements you have here..and they all seem to play together quite nicely.
really nice work!
Excellent ambient track TA. That was really emotions running in so many great directions. The pads were exceptional and the "togetherness" of the elements was extremely well done. Nice! Keep up the great work!
wow this starts off quick right from the get go real great automation and samples u put in this one,i like werid buzzy horn sound too.all round good track man.
