Oli the genre was a struggle, the fat beat would grace any hip hop track, the content is hard, just delivered sensitive if you know the back story, hip hop is to general a term now, so many sub genres , any of the UK ones you mention would do but no other option really, and i couldn't find the ice cool German button.

hi Manuela thank you for the great feedback, Oli approached me with a scratch piece sort of raw idea of this music with an idea he had for me to rap, i thought it was too delicate for rap and suggested something a little different. sent him a short draft that he also liked i offered up 'just a kid' or 'should of hid' as a title he suggested what we went with which was far better had a deeper message, i could of sent wet vocals but this was for me to see how i was brought by another producer, and i was blown away myself because he used next to no fx on my voice, this is a lesson for me, i need to use less now :))
i wrote the track based on true events in my life, the pain i was going through i knew what was happening but to young to really understand still recovering from my accident, although i didn't know at the time my mental health was shattered i still feel the pain 43 years later, i 'll never get over it. Oli certainly captured that pain

thanks Robin, all the work was Oli really, i did only provide the vocal but we passed it back and forth to get the final cut, the object here for me was to allow another producer to produce me, i usually only produce myself and he done a fantastic job, i was chuffed to bits with his craft and the beat was so fat he didnt send me the music as is it was a raw piece similar, so that was a nice surprise too

thanks for the kind words Ian, and yeah Robin has come with so great tracks recently and for me now feeling more comfortable vocally, to be able to provide a vocal to my oldest friends on the loop is more satisfying to me to be honest, its always good to here from you mate

i try real hard to write lyrics that have a meaning or some form of substance and i use the expierences from my own life as a template, whether it be a good or bad expierience to make it believeable. i also have the added bonus of fx to make my vocal sound better than it actually is. dry it would also drown out just as many cats :))
thanks for the stop off listen and comment its always appreciated dean as we've discussed before, it makes it more worthwhile although i do music for me first and foremost as i enjoy story telling. its still nice to recieve feedback.
im also sure your voice would'nt be bad, you Welsh are renowned for your voices, give it a go im sure you'd be fine, and you got all the fx too if not, and like me the first time i sung and listened back i just wanted to throw up.

thanks Manu, i agree there is too much backing, im just passionate about my verses. i really liked this track and you know i have a lot to say :))
my main vocal is central with no panning but the two backing tracks are panned left and right but to close together so all feels like its panned to much. i also have delay on the backing just a few millisecs i will make the changes and give some breathing space like you said, dont ever feel overwhelmed, just tell me all the time what you think, im still learning remember and your feedback is vital as you no far more than me about singing and of course i will take your advice forward its not that it hasn't been said before, check it later, and yes fathers day is celebrated here but its the 16th of June thanks again for checking it out

Robin it was a great track, i was singing feel held back say we on the right path immediately on listening and had it wrote in half hour. i was a little worried it was to vocal heavy, i tend to write too much tbf, my son has said it before he says you give them too much, Manuela has pointed that out above too, so will take some backing out to give the listener a breather, so check back later, i love this music so will make the changes as ive been advised, its always a good idea to listen to your listeners especially if you sort of agree too

Manuela everything you write is true, the fanatics want their way. the war in Ukraine is much more than a power grab, Russia are too big to defeat, i dont want to see them destroyed either, not that they will be, i am sick to death with all leaders, they are all egotistical. its the people who suffer the most, the war raging in the middle east is a powder keg that could start world war three, just look at the demonstrations going on around the world especially USA, its all hatred based. i see nothing but genocide and the UK and America just sit back and let it happen and were supposed to be leaders, our Prime minister is spineless, never ever won a vote, given the job by a few cronies, he doesn't represent me and he's not my Prime Minister and never will be, recent local elections just proved how unpopular they are, their choices have destroyed a generation of youth and i personally cant see it changing, if things dont change i can see civil war breaking out, i think were all f#cked anyway, most would get along irrelevant of background religion etc if they gave us anything to hang on to, most are sane and want harmony, inequality is appalling, its our political leaders that are insane, im scared of the world that my grandchildren will grow into

the recent local elections show change is coming, but will Labour deliver change, i dont think so, they're all the bloody same, crooks. you should go in to politics for the changes you can make and not to become popular and become a millionaire like most of the shit today. and the SNP are a right mess and have let down the Scottish people in my opinion the whole world needs change, people feel trapped with no freedom and choice, life shouldn't be about just existing but sadly it is these days

thanks dub hope your bless bro, ive never ever done loops or acapellas really as they can be a nightmare if someone uses your stuff, you may have a use for it somewhere else in your work and sometimes you get hit with copyright strikes for your own work, yeah you can sort it but its still hassle i dont want so i dont really bother. but the truth is i never thought my vocals were good enough to be fair :)) maybe i judge myself to critically at times and forget the best engineers can make anyone sound good even me :))
