Hello Tumbleweed, I just gave your rnb track a listen and quite enjoyed it...the vocals are very good and guitar accompaniment was great....it definitely has that old school soulful groove......great track my friend.

Ed,
already knew from that lovely intro this was gonna be good.
you nailed that old school vibe again, this is butter!
great vocal work by skimidi as well. you made it fit the vibe perfectly.
hats off and cheers!
so great to see you're still at it, old friend. how's everything? hope you're doing well.
first off, love the guitar - really solid playing. i also picked up on some of the cool counterpoint between the guitar and sax, that was a nice touch.
i always enjoy that smooth, laid-back old school r&b vibe.
well done, and thanks for sharing the music! :)
HEY, digging this feel right here. lol. That you on guitar? Yeah, play on player. Great feel, vocals are hot. I'm gonna hit you up on profile. GREAT WORK HERE. Will be listening for more. PEACE.
WOW! this track is absolutely soulful and wonderfully produced the vocals and music are *Shining* and a match made in heaven indeed, such an exquisite production and very much enjoyed by me. Pure Gold
So, I get on here after not being on here for a llllloonngg time. And the 1st thing I hear is this. WOW. I can't stay away that long. Digging the whole song my brother. Guitar work, vocal work, production is excellent. Thanks for posting this GEM. IT'S DEFINITLY INSPIRNG. PEACE.
Truly beautiful. The guitar is impressive! The vocals, melody and overall momentum are also excellent. Only a quiet crackling noise (intentional?) can be heard occasionally. Excellently implemented, the instrumentation fits perfectly. It's somehow already become a catchy tune.
Kind regards, Manuela
thanks very much for your thoughtful comments Manuela and for the heads up on the noise. Will check my mix but suspect it is in the wah pedal I am having power supply trouble with. My ears are shot above 2k (noisy youth & 2 many years in front of amps) Had to shut down my project studio a few years ago when I didn`t feel I was up for commercial level mixes any more...so always helpful to get some input on the mix to..cheers.. Ed
I have to admit, I was not expecting something this smooth. This was outstanding work. This is one of them hidden gems you find by happy accident. I applaud your work on this one!
Hi, Ed. It's a rainy Saturday night in Ottawa. Pretty quiet. This track was exactly what I needed. Great RnB feel. You really nailed it. I like all kinds of genres, but RnB is for sure my favourite. Very tasty guitar work. Wasn't aware of SkiMidi's vocals. Definitely will check him out as you suggested. Like you, I've been on LM only sporadically but have resolved to visit more often and when I find a track like this one, I'm really happy I did.
thanks very much Eric. You can likely tell from the speed of my replies how much time I spend here.Gave up on finding acapellas as its all vocal fx and not really usable for actual music. Send some of that rain out here..its drier than a fart and unless that changes we`ll be missing farm crops this year. Just going to head over & see what you been up to..Ed
Ed! Good to see again! Also good to hear that sweet guitar again. Nice laid back track, has a bit of that vintage rnb feel to it. Keep at it pal, this is the fun part in life if you can keep doing it.
good to hear from you my friend. Guess I`m still addicted to this old guitar stuff as I can`t seem to quit.old widower now in a small apartment so guess its good to have the music to keep the juice flowing. big thanks for the kind comments Wayne. Besy to you and yours..Ed
Ed, how are you doing these days? I don't make it to the Looperman as much as I used to, so it's good to see a familiar "face" when I do, ya know?
I'd say this is an attempt that ended in success. It has a total retro-R&B sound. It goes without saying that I love your guitars. I always have. But I'm really digging the rhythm section on this one. It's got a great grove to it. The overall feel is very "summer-evening in the city". Like when you have no where to be, nothing to do, and time to just enjoy the moment, or moments if you're lucky enough to stay in that frame of mind.
Anyhow, good listen as always. I hope things are well with you.
Hi Aaron: good to hear from you man. Have hardly spent any time on LM myself the past few years. Been through a lot of changes here (its a long story) and I seem to be in a long mellow/chill kind of groove . Have kept some tracks posted on my SC page but really haven`t be very active there either. Big thanks for the generous comments my friend. Be over to check what you been up to shortly. Ed
The whole thing sounds quite lo-fi, which I find unusual for this style, but all the more interesting. And your guitar: So I can somehow hear the dear (God bless him) Eddie Hazel coming out of it...? A tiny bit? The sound, guitar and vocal track work excellently together. Compliment!
Cheers, Micky
ah yes Eddie was the funkmeister of guitar. Guess most everything I do would sound pretty lo fi Mickey..been playing since the 60s and dont know when to quit..not much interest in the canned commercial stuff that avoids compositional thinking (gees..I sound like my parents). Big thanks for the kind comments..cheers..Ed
Always appreciate comments on the production mate as my ears are half shot and so is my confidence in the mix..meters and old habits are my refuge...always good to hear from you dimestop. be over for a visit soon. cheers. Ed
