Hi my friend!

In addition to writing a brilliant song, allow me 2 comments. 1: the vocal is as if the girl is singing in a swimming pool ... :-) there is some strange effect on her voice ... 2: the song ends very quickly ... but of course it doesn't matter ... :-)
though all in all, this is sheer brilliance ... bass guitar is fantastic as the brass ...
fistbump,
Danke

HI my Friend Drake!

Yes I had her held under water while she was singing. Sounds good right, LOL
No really that is what was supplied from looperman. I tried very hard to get them as good as they are but I gave up since they were the best I could get them.

Yes I just want it to stop like that, I was trying something different this time.

I greatly appreciate you comments good and bad.
I hope all is well with you and your family.

That's excellent! Really nice groove, and I think you used the vocal a bit different from what they had expected (the key is a bit different) but that works really well.

You could be right, The Key not sure what you mean it's in the right key as far as my ears can tell.

midiman007. What a solid track you’ve got here. The arrangement moves nicely and the drums are sitting perfectly in the mix. Nice work and an enjoyable listen.

Hao, it's really a beautiful composition that does justice to a beautiful voice. Well arranged and the small unobtrusive solos are appropriately placed.
Like it a lot. Greetings Manuela

this is a new song by a face I haven't heard for a long time ... welcome back midiman ... what a song it is ... you put an amazingly demanding, humble arrangement under one of the most popular singers of today here (and maybe there) ... this is popular jazz on my opinion, but it doesn't count ... all my hats off ...
fistbump, Danke

Yes it's been a while, haven't done much writing these days.
Thanks for the welcome back. yes Odarka has a great voice.
I agree it's modern or smooth jazz.
Thanks so much for the positive feedback. I tried to make it sound like it was in a jazz club.
How have you been with all the craziness going around?

Holy shit, I like that!

I love Patricia's voice, and I wouldn't have imagined that on a blues scheme, but it definitely works.

I would consider to make her vocal pop a bit more btw, because she's now a bit hidden behind your awesome guitars. Good stuff man!

nice track bro, i would say more soft rock tho, not that genres mean anything really. Patricia is a fantastic vocalist and i like what you've done the vocal was i little crushed by the drum in the first part though but it comes through better soon after, nice job midiman
midiman007
midiman007 replied 27th Sep 2022 - 2 years ago
Yes Patricia is a great vocalist. She has contributed a lot to Looperman. I appreciate your nice comments. As far as the drums in the beginning I wanted to make the song different in the start.I think I should have listed it as blues not country. I don't thin it's soft rock. but like you said genres really don't matter.

Wow, from the first note this one had my undivided attention. Guitar work is stellar as usual, but man the production and arrangement is a master's class in how to do things the right way. This has that Santana vibe to it, which is something I really love. I just bought a PRS searching for that Carlos tone (I'm still searching, haha), and it looks like you have it mastered. Are you using one of your Strats for this or your Les Paul? Anyway, outstanding effort. Really, really good work. I hope all is well.

Thanks Bear as always great to hear from you and thanks so much for the positive feedback. As for your questions. Yes it's my Strat. I have not played the Les Paul in ages.
The Strat is the most versatile guitar in the world. It can sound like anything. This Strat is about 2 years old it's an American standard all stock. As always I hope all is well with you and your family.

Peace

Absolute fantastic performance here midi

guitars are more than outstanding :-), groovy is fabulous...stunning song really...1 nuance: in the chorus instead of the hihat I should use ride to lift the peak a bit more...but this could of course only me...

handshake, Danke

Hi Danke,
Thanks so much for the comment. You know I thought about the ride cymbal on the chorus but then I felt the hi hat was enough. Either way I appreciate the compliment and you taking time to give your feedback.

I hope all is well with you.

Wow, that was one of the first vocals uploaded here. This took me back to a long time ago haha. Who is this Neomorpheus guy that keeps calling me Patty. Hehe. And you're playing the guitar eh? I realize there are people here who play real instruments, but you just don't hear it so much anymore, I feel like I've said that too many times today. Lol Anyhow, it is always a pleasure to offer something people can use. :-)

First or not still great vocals to me, ( LOL ) and a big thank you for releasing it to use I do not think I have ever miscalled you patty but if I did I am very sorry your name is
Patricia.
Yes I played the guitar live, Played the other instruments also even though they are vst's via a midi key board.

Thank you for leaving a review and letting me know you liked it. God Bless you and your family Patricia E

Good stuff midiman! Love that finger lickin chicken pickin bro. We dont get much in the way of Country in here. Pretty straight forward chord progression but you spiced it up nicely and tastefully. Are you playing a strat or a tele? Of course you "chose wisely" when it came to the vocal track. Patty put the icing on it and it dont get much sweeter! Love those harmonies girl!

Props midi, you really rocked my country with this gem!

midiman007 replied 18th Nov 2018 - 6 years ago
Thanks you so much for your nice compliments. When I first started playing guitar I used a Les Paul now only strats. I used 2 different strats on this. Slide lead is my newer one, the Rhythm guitar is my 1970. As I got older I realized that I can get any sound with a strat and also to get the sound out of a stratocaster you have to play it, Really play it.

Again thank you so much for your kind words.
