I write a lot of trance myself so I can appreciated this genre, are you using Sylenth 1, or Access Virus, sounds analog.

on jazzy Grove by GalanticMusic
Although generally a smokey bar jazz club type, this electronic new age jazz is pretty hip.

on Project 49 - Work in Progress by DeepKode
Personally I think the part right around 1:50 should be the beginning and the beginning(now) should come toward the end> Sounds like you used Sylenth or Virus synth like it nevertheless.

Don't know if this from James Bond movie of not, never heard Licensed to Kill soundtrack, but stand alone its pretty sweet. Was confused at first cause it said instrumental at the header. Regardless, nice mix on this

This is the theme song for when I'm up to mischief. Nice guitar muting gotta-happy-lets-go-do-something vibe cookin'. Would like to hear it with the vox put down.

Cheers

on Untitled Track - Original Mix by EquinoxDaredevil
this is off to a good start, personally I would bring the kick in slower to create a more ambient intro. I like the arp and may be for a break/bride let the arp run by itself for a couple of bars. If you can control the pitch of that bass you may want to wobble it somewhere to break things up. Personally i thinks it will be great.
EquinoxDaredevil
EquinoxDaredevil replied 15th Jul 2013 - 11 years ago
I have the bass wobbling slightly along with the sidechain compression but I didn't want to make it overwhelming because I have like 6 melodies going on at once haha.

Anytime I see your name Im stopping in. You give me chills and I can only describe you as beautiful. To outshine that piano is a difficult task, but that voice wins.

on Lets just say we did by 520
All this really would need is one small bridge and a sweeping vocal and it would be great. Ok on its own, and I realize this is an old post but I just came across it.

on Purple King by SeaDog
wow when I saw Jon Lord I had to stop, Machine Head was one of my favorite lp's back in those days. It sounds just like his set up, what are you using for this? I would think those were long gone.

Thank you, foxdfive, for listening and for your kind comment!

The Hammond sound of this track has been mainly created with a couple of plugins: Cakewalk Sound Center and Organized Trio.

I'm happy that you liked it!

on Beat 1 by 40A
Because you said so hahahaah. I can see this at the confrontational part of a movie, where issues are finally resolved and the hero has met their goals. Sometimes Ill watch parts of a movie with the sound down low and try to fit in something. Many times a good backing track and one photo can speak everything. Probably going to have that bell chime in my head all night now.

on She Runs by Darkreine
You come by so often I thought I would drop by your place. Very spacy guitar. Kinda of techno-ish ambient textures. I was trying to identify the synth, sounds kinda like Reaktor. Running is quite appropriate.

Cheers

Hey Thanx for passing through, appreciate it.

Very cinematic, I see this in an action movie. Reminds me a lot of the techno at the begging of the 1990's. good work here.

on The Pain Will End Instrumental by MrShores
Its strange that I played guitar professionally for many years, but have always admired the sound of a piano. This is a beautiful song and piano can tell a story like no other instrument. Use a little subtractive eq in the mids and this will clean up nicely.
MrShores
MrShores replied 3rd Jul 2013 - 11 years ago
Thanks for the review. Yeah I noticed the mids were a bit sloppy. I think it is on part due to to my lack of panning. There is no sound strange so the middle is a bit crowded. But i have put that on my to do list. Thanks for the constructive criticism. It's how I grow.
