muah haha the old back and forth! nice kinda like watching charlie brown cranked up loud on acid while the stereos blasting the almond brothers on the left side and gwar on the right! strangley appealing i think this could be a new genre "death folk", or at least a new song in the genre!
Kinda reminds me of tatu right off, probally cause im not a big dance listner, very mellow relaxing sounds here, definatly like the application of effects to the vocals! The synths are pretty sweet appliedas well, and the modest drum beat is interesting, i would have never place it with that music in a million i guess im just into pounding & popping, therefore I can really appreciate tunes such as this cause there so far beyond my personal creative styles!
I especially like the warbliness of this track makes me kinda woozie, but i like it, Im digging the drum loop and the drum loop stutter at the cresendo of the first build up! I appeciate the layering as the song goes on, not your average repeatitive factory loop techno i hear more than i would like while surfin through tracks on this site, I also must state I definatly like the spooky accapella, & the guitar synth that backs it up! Overall the mixing sounds pretty clean, so I have to say this is a good track all around! As a whole, Definaly like it!
Thanks so much for the detailed review - there isn't actually an acapella in this, I wonder if like a part does sound like that to you or if you got a review mixed up? Either way the first half of the review all made sense and was spot on, and I appreciate it. ThankU!!
Nice track here, I love symphonic metal blends, the kick drum sound is worth noting as a great sounding kick!
Also the synths melodys are good on this espeically with the effects used as tastfullyas they were!
Thanks for the review, digitalenigma0. I struggle with staying tasteful with all this and not crossing into being too cheesy and nerdy. So your feedback is reassuring on something I've felt insecure about. I have Sony's Ultimate Metal Construction Kit to help me with those drums. Thanks for taking the time to review. Kper
weird stuff here definatly like the drums the guitar make it almost a 70s rock song! and some of the vocals samples remind of the bangles or somthing haha! kinda short but i do that somtimes myself, until they evlove more if they do, somtimes the just sit and never do anything!
Thank you for the review. I'm starting to think that weird is becoming synonimus (forgive spelling error please ) with my tracks - If I was normal I would be worried, but I'm not...I think.
Awesome deal, glad I could help for sure! Most people take stuff like that as negitive critisizm instead of seeing that im trying to help them make there stuff more than what it is!
Well those that would think that stuff like that is negative are retarded. Some people just think they know it all. Those are the same people that dont know shht. Thanks again for the killer review!!!!
Mainly i just use samples of misscellanious acoustic drums when im making beats for metal tracks (search that bay for pirates for a certain pirate named artytorrent) try to listen to a few of your fav metal tracks and find drums that are similar then just build up a kit that sounds realistic, even look at pictures of there drums sets consider virttual placment panning as it corelates to a real set and stuff..
Alot of it is in the fact that i can play real drums and that helps me make decisions on whats realistically possible and feesible also when i program fake drums i imagine playing on a real or trap kit and visualize what my hands and feet would be doing and i try not to make anything myself or someone else couldnt replecate without 4 arms given the sticks samples and a nice trap kit! but somtimes i just throw reproducability to the side for sake of beutiful mechanical noise!
I think your rock drum beats just need a little vari/altern/ation, stuff like instead of repeating a 4 step drum pattern 8 times to back a 32 step guitar riff try doing like 4 differnt 8 step drum patterns or 2 16 step patterns you know, and make every measure a little different, your main drum beat could be broke into two or four variations with slightlty different snare and bass rolls and down beats but still match the guitars and have maybe some that cut off or buildup stuff like that, just anything you can do like that adds alot of realism!
good intro twinkling i like it this one almost has the bass i wanted from the other track haha! I definatly like the surf action!
Thers a lot of movie audio samples on here does this mean i can find a cam version of it now?
Oh yhea... the pan FX are a sweet touch!
The not over complexed drums seem to not bother me at all on this track cause of all the changes ups in the verses and stuff!
Good track all around i like it! the outro is a great fiale as well
Thanks again for the feedback. The sound clips I used didnt come from the Zombieland movie. It doesnt come out till Oct. 2nd I think. I was looking for copies of it myself and found nothing but trailers for the flick. Yeah I need help with the drums for sure. What do you use for your drums? Any specific plugin or something like that?
I like this track, its hot, first rap/hop track I've heard on this site I could actually feel, so it got faved, If you do a multi artist vocal collab, Im down like a mother fkr, coming from the hardcore with a southern edge, bring it!
I like your sad little track!
The drums triggering to early are probally a side effect of the playlist grid pattern paint settings try setting the little grid cursor painter thing at the far right of playlist settings (right next to were it says playlst) in fruity to "cell" then remove the offset pattern (not the whole thing just the offset ones) on the track and put it back down this usally fixes it somtimes you can use the same function to mak the beats more movable change it up and such or when you get into some really elaborate stuff sometimes you have to offset whole sections off songs to get stuff to lineup right!
Nice electro/reggae feel on this one!
The vocals are good, but a little monotone, could use a little more accentuation, but her voice is nice, and i understand how it can be working with somone who is not a musician, when you have a vision its not always easy to get another two uderstand it! the monotone thing does work, but a little more emmotion would go a long ways!
Pretty good all around though, definatly a very reggae bassline!
Thanks for stopping in! I think it may be monotone just because it was a reading from a written work, not intended for a song at all. She is/has been a musician at times too, and has offered to record some things specifically for use in songs. Thanks for the helpful review!
Very tribalistic, the shamanistic influence is very apparent, the cane/bamboo sounding xylophones are definatly a good supporting mechanism for the rest of the track, overall a very well produced and arranged track, alot of tracks on this site have a good beat but the arrangment and production is tar.... this is a bit above the rest!
Definatly like the drum layering in and outs and the synth nacks here and there kinda almost unpredictably, this reminds me alot of stuff from the ministry land of rape and honey album! i like it, very good music to work by, this is the kind of stuff i like to listen while im fixing broken stuff keeps me going moving synchronized!
Good track all around probally a little industrial for the safe dnb types but not to dnb for the dangerous industrial types haha!
Another nicely deformed bsturd child of a track here creeps, whadda ya say on busting down rearranging a cover of NWO by ministry when im down with my re-creation? e-mail me @ digitalenigma0@yahoo.com, search for EyemGun here on looper or myspace were doing some collab work so he will probally be in on it as well, I would love to have your sick azz on board with some future projexs, were very into helping each other out with elements of tracks advice ect..and not butchering one anothers stuff (against the others wishes but i think I will actually want you to do this if you wanna work together), so you would not have to fear being controlled thats not what we do or how we do it! if you have a compatible messenger (i use microsuck messenger) hit me up jesseweedman@yahoo.com
For real if you can handle collabs i think we could all benefit from one another!
This is pretty good structurally keep these kindas of structures, and strive for more realisitc sounds, this is definatly somthing that can evolve over time! not bad at all, it took me about 5 years to break away from the fruity mechanical sound myself then i eventually figured out how t get more realistic sounds!
Very nice intro buidup, I definatly like the drums overall on this one, the guitar riff is pretty good too like a funky slipknot riff having a epileptic seizure! Kudos on the use of silence/dropouts alot of people overlook that technique or cant do it very tastefully.
Kooky indeed KookDaLoop! I admire kookyness in most everything especially music, good job on this one dood!
Thanks for picking up on the drop outs, they can be tricky, but when they work it's so nice. Thanks for the review, I'll head on over to your stuff soon. peace!
Tracks like this is why I like hip hop and often make sure to relate the differences between hip hop and gansta rap MTV BS, to those who do not differentiate and care to know!
Overall, this is nice clean track, attractivly simplistic very relaxing on the ears and spirt execllent arabic sounding violins, definatly needs some vocals to match!
haha normally i wouldnt have looked at most techno tracks but i love the soylet green, this song, pounds rocks, are thoose the sounds of the video game in the furnitures house? nice, somday im gonna use soe soylent green sfx in a industrial song, im just usally writting my own stuff so i rarley ever do anything themed, maybe add a bit of saul and the eders discussing the noa books ect.. and that one guy saying so this is right and the other dude saying not right nessecery
I think its a alright track gotta remove the fruity factory pack "i step on stage break aleg stuff" you could replace it with a sample from my rhyme, i could maybe rap to it, hurry though while im having a block with my on stuff, cause it will hit the back burners then,,, it would be absurd icp type lyrics though, send me a fruity zip (save as.zip instead of fruity .flp standard) or somthing chopped up so i can lay down stuff with mulitple takes ill give it a shot, digitalenigma0@yahoo.com , you need some dahmer testimonie takes added in it though takes from angry familys the little chineese dude who escaped to finds dahmers pubs on his but and a sore rectum ect.. haha sick
This has a great melody and over musical value, but it sounds very midi-ish, like a nintendo game or ringtone you need to remake it in a better program or with some better voices! other than that it metal as hell!
