I love this track!
I didn't think you could
get more presence out of your
tracks but, obviosly "Logic Pro
is all you needed to accomplish it.
The separation and individual instrument
sound placements are off the charts good...
This track is squeeky clean (as usual) and your
composition and arrangement are spot on.Perhaps I
need to grow a pair and try LP:-)
Hello Robbie, I had already suspected that the signals we had received had something to do with you. Even if they kidnapped you to another universe: we will find you! Just hold on! Peace and love from the Co Commander!
Hey Mark,
It's amazing how you
can take the same samples
that I use and make them sound
Like real music. That Rhodes sample
@ 1:38-2:02 sounds like a whole nuther
Rhodes when you used it here compared to
when I used it.
I love this track. As usual it sounds to
me like a studio recording by the latest Jazz
Fusion group.
Great track. Faved(of course)..
PEACE from the East...
Rob! What's good, my boy? You know how it goes with those loops. You gotta put that custom touch on them. Yep slice, dice, dissect, slap em up flip em and rub em down LOL!. Thank you much for taking out the time to give yet another track the once over and fave it. I'm most happy that this is hitting just where it should. Peace.
You know I can't resist an "Oddball" rhythm.
I was in Narvana through this Whole track. I
just knew at some point you were going to enter
with either Sax or Guitar with heavy Delay or some
type of Arpeggio. In the end it wasn't necessary. It's
just me never letting enough be enough:-)
Well you have succeeded in
creating your own "Brand", I'm
pretty sure I could recognize a
track you made, anywhere.
There is a certain kind of spontaneity
to your work that sounds like you're in
a studio and you're only going to do one
take, so it's gotta be good. I usually don't
listen to lyrics but, you seem to catch me and
make me listen on every track.
hi Rob, thanks for the listen and comment, i wondered who would be brave enough to comment first, this track will cause controversy im sure, why do you think i brought it, not everyone will like what i say but that's life, we have serious issues in the UK with a corrupt government, illegal migrants and people struggling to feed their kids and pay for utilities, these are the issues we pay taxes for, they dont deliver, main stream media with all the fake propaganda, transgender men should be nowhere near women's sport
society is soft and woke, you get condemned if you speak up about it, i hope people comment, im an adult and my opinion is shared by millions of people across the globe, thanks for being brave and leaving a comment.
That Drumwork is so crisp.
I remember a couple of tracks
back someone commented about the
way the Vibraphone sounded like Ruth
Underwood (Zappa), @1:26 was a total Zappa
moment. You moved in and out of about 3or 4
styles while still keeping the overall theme
intact. Your Keyboard work is just so on point
it's outrageous!
This track definately is in my "Mark" top 5.
Rob. Thank you for the weigh-in, comments and fave. So this one has been a mega blast. The section you mentioned was ripe for a rolling marimba type swag. Yep, mallets on wood for sure. I appreciate the mention of the theme, as you know it's easy to go off the rails. Keyboards? It's so bad now I caught myself with a sandwich in one hand and playing a melody with the other trying to hash out an idea while having lunch, LOL! Anyway, we'll continue our chop session later. Peace.
I'm lovin this track.
I was feelin a "Floyd"
vibe off of it. Did you
write and sing the lyrics
on this track? Your voice has
a distinct character to it. It's
strong.
Mann that intro tho,
I almost didn't recognize
you @thisBPM? I was just knowing
you were going to finish me off with
some Sax but, you hit me with some staccato
keyboard that just took me straight into some
Herbie Hancock style keys, that bring all kinds
of rhythmic possibilities with it. Funky. Killer...
Man, I love the way the rhythm doesn't turn out
to be what you thought it would be. I'm really liking
that string background on the Guitar solo along with a
plethora of Percussive accents. The 808 addition my the
track sound full and rounded.
BTW... I didn't know you were playing Synth on the track
you posted before this one. Mannnnn it's killer.
Ok Rob. What I like about what we do is we can do what we feel. I was feeling this one in a different way. In comparison to the jazz funk fusion this was a much needed excursion. Thank for stopping by for the listen, compliments, and fave. TTYL. Peace.
Damn Micky,
This is so Funky!
I was trippin on the
production quality for
about the first 14 sec.
then it got all funked up :)
The Vocals are delicious I'm
lovin the voices coming from everwhere.
The Guitars and Synths are so on point it's
scary.
Wasn't my intention to scare anyone. But since it's a compliment in your case, I hope you were scared shitless LOL. Thank you my dear friend and see you soon.
Rob I know you know how is can get sometimes. This one was the one I broke the new keyboard in on. Yep I played all the solo sax parts. A first successful attempt. Trust I’ve got a ways to go but the light at the end of the tunnel is encouraging. Thanks once again for taking a ride on the WILD SIDE wit me. The fave is received humbly and graciously. Peace.
Man your lyrics are so "no nonesense" and to the point.
I generally don't listen to lyrics just to the Vocal melodic
contributions to a track but, the lyrics on this track captured me. I wondered at first if you were going to fly solo with your Piano and Bass. You rounded the track out with the Guitar,Drums and more Vocal accent/accompaniments. It turned out soulfully beautiful .
Yeah I played around a bit with the instrumentation and BPM. I first recorded a version that was a bit faster with more guitar, then went to the piano to practice playing it live (solo) and decided it needed a slower build-up... and as I recorded that I felt it needed power chords again ;)
I'm happy with the way it sounds now although I'm going to redo some of the vocals.
Thanks so much for listening my friend!!
T576, this track is pure ear candy.
The Keys/Synth/FX were a bonus on this track.
My faves were the Drums and Guitar. I feelpersonally
connected to what you say on all of your tracks via the Guitar. It's almost like you're playing what I'm thinking. Your Mixing/Mastering are always top shelf.
Thank you, J, for the positive comment and listen. Always a pleasure when you stop by. This type of comment means a lot to me in several ways. 1, my mind set when I'm writing is to create the song as if I'm having a conversation with the listener. 2, when I'm soloing, I'm expressing my most valuable points of the conversation. When I'm mixing and mastering, that's the part of the conversation where I approach it as if we will agree or disagree with some points of the conversation. Thanks again for your time. PEACE. T576 OUT.
Damn... At first I thought my headphones were off, but it was the ultra cleanliness of your mix, the separation is just crazy good. The composition is classic you, altho I remember a time where this track would have been 8min minimum. The Keyboard part you have written for this track is so progressive, I thought I heard a little Herbie style Rhodes sound I love it. I ain't even go start on the Drums.... Ok.. I think this is my favorite Drum tracks ever. It is incredibly balanced to fit without being overpowering while being in it's own Universe just jammin. The ending caught me off guard, I was sure there was more.
Alright Rob! It’s good hearing from you. Happy belated BD! Thanks for the in-depth feedback comments and fave. On what you heard you are well aware of what it’s like to go over and over again 1 small section to get it just right. Anyway we have to chop it up real soon. Peace.
This track has an incredible amount of musical magic going on.
I started out listening to the crisp out front bass, then got caught up in the Keys. Then you added the pitch perfect Vocals.
Some Synth and FX, not to mention the funky phase/flanged out Guitar(I mentioned it). Mix and Mastering are always top shelf in your productions.
I've been gone a while and right off the bat
I hear this super clean smooth track. I wish I
could rap I'd be all over this. It's the perfect
backdrop for Rap lyrics.
A friend of mine is in a "Metal" Band.
I've been to a few of their practices and
shows. I've wanted to use that 'triplet" Kick Drum
since the first time I heard it. This track just crushes
it. I almost thought I heard a "Growler" on this track.
Great track (again) Faved.. PEACE from the far East...
If I still had the growler vocal abilities I had back in my twenties, (I'm knockin' on 50's door), I would have totally laid some down for this track. But now, I just sound like I'm trying to clear my throat. It just don't do like it used to.
Thanks for the re-listen and second comment. I appreciate it.
This is Classic Rap done to perfection.
It's super obvious that this ain't no hobby.
You guys do this sh#t for real.

Smooth Jazz....

The Guitar is very soulful, peaceful and calming
I never listen to the lyrics but, I do listen to the
pitch and presentation. These Vocals are a perfect match.
You have a lot to say.
You are also saying it
plainly and clearly on
this track. Content is
everything to me.
You did exactly what I
expected after the break
@3min, the waveform didn't
lie. I knew you were going
to bust loose. You did it
remaining as cool as a cucumber.
Jynx I'm glad you noticed the setup for the busting loose. I can't stand when a guitar player sets up a song for the bust loose and plays a 8 bar solo. What the heck is that. I cant tell my musical story in 8 bars, because you're correct, I have a lot to say. My goal every time out is to satisfy the listeners ears for what I claim to be expressing, "SMOOTH JAZZ", so if I can't deliver then it's not worth the listen to me. Thank you for recognizing my goal on this one. PEACE. T576 OUT.
hey Jynxz,
i do love it when it works,
and to be fair Rob, this one worked better than i expected. a lot of thought went in to it bars wise, got the EQ on the vox ok, think i got the flow and pace right, spent ages on the mastering getting the spacing, short pauses, bars back in.
as you know rap is repetitive and catchy, but 6 mins is alot of gas, the bars had to be fresh and changing to keep people interested, its had a good response so im assuming i done ok, even my lad likes it and he asked for the mp3, i might of made it on to his playlist ha,ha now that's progress mate, thanks for the stop off and fav mate, its appreciated.
