I didn't know quite what to expect when I clicked "play". It's an interesting choice for a cover... But bloody hell, you id an amazing job! I had a massive grin throughout. And I was singing along by the end. Absolutely loved it! Maybe you should give Season of the Witch a go? I'm a Hurdy Gurdy Man myself :D
These vocals are amazing. And I'd say your bass playing equals their elegant beauty; they're a perfect compliment. The fx on your guitars are excellent too. It's a great composition all round. Instant fave.
Great work on chopping and pitching the vox, you have a talent for making them both melodic and percussive. The beats are great and overall your production has made it a massive sounding tack. My speakers loved it. As did I :D
This is not bad for a demo at all. I'm not one for Auto-tune personally but it fits the style your going for and I enjoyed the track overall. So maybe I like it when it works?
I do know I like the flow of the vox and there's some creative phrases like "Mixing up my sprite with the codeine, dirty potion". Good lyricism, like the imagery.
What a wonderful, moody piece of delicious Rock you have wrought. It really carried me away with those guitar melodies. And the use of vox at the end really added a haunting edge to the picture you created in my mind.
This was so much fun! I can honestly say that I have not heard anything like this on LM before. Great performance. I'm awaiting the day I hear this in a Disney parade :D
I like it. I want to say that she did a great job. I've heard bad performances from many English singers. The song is well structured and I like all the elements. Great strings, the acoustic guitar is just right. But during the chorus: the synth + Drums + strings together feel a bit muddy. Maybe look at the EQ on each one and try to give them all a bit more space?
Otherwise, this is beautiful. The melodies are already in my head :)
Beautiful sounds. Highly detailed percussion. Exquisite production. This is absolutely outstanding work. Really took me on a journey that immediately made me buy another ticket and go for another ride.
Instant fave.
Hi man.
You did a great job of mixing your music with the vocals to elevate the song. It has a sweet, magical appeal to it. The earnest emotions in the vocals stop it from becoming too sickly sweet. It's still genuine. Awesome work. Thanks for sharing.
Hey nln1.
This song is has some amazing melodies and you have a low but smooth voice that work really well. Sort of like Jamie XX. I hope you expand it further or offer us some more tracks in the future.
The compostion, the lyrics and the vocals are all fantastic. It's the perfect waltz; both beautiful and somber. Thank you for sharing and for the free download.
I was listening to the groovy bassline and enjoying the general atmosphere of the song. Nice beats, cool electro sounds. And then the sax kicked in and I sat up to attention! It really elevates the song and ends it perfectly. Well done.
you're right, this track is more interesting when entering the sax. Nice you underline the groovy aspect of my bassline, it was a long time i found it on my guitar without trying to inject it in a musical composition. The result is not so bad...
Hey Couteaub,
This is an engaing creation. Very inventive. I like the way it transforms as it continues. I would gladly listen to a longer version. Amazing sounds.
Yeah, I definitely felt chilled out after this. You've made an awesome soundscape that is a pleasure to listen to. Don't need to smoke to appreciate this :)
