I'm an 80's baby, and feel privileged to have grown up during the 'golden era' of Hip-Hop. I started my 'active' hip-hop career emceeing. At first, my friends and I would just have a few drinks and freestyle little lines back and forth. Then, we formed a group called "The Spittaz". At this point, we were young & inexperienced artists. We still proceeded to make mix tapes, using other producers beats. At first, it was all fun. Time went on, some of these friends called it quits, quickly realizing that emceeing is MUCH easier said then done. As I started to form as an emcee, I started playing with sounds, clips & samples. Nicknamed "The Surgeon" for cutting up loops and putting ad libs in specific places. Looking back at these "songs", everything was off. the timing, the sound, the whole sound of it. I can never knock that time though, it was a learning experience at the least. Filled with great times, creative periods of growth & great bonding times with my close friends.
