What's up, I'm Triii C aka The Trilogy. Ancient, Wisdom & Streetwise... three entities of womanliness melded into one sensational product of life.
My music is a smooth, lyrically conscious, cultural base that teaches without preaching while thoroughly entertaining the membrane.
Peace to real Hip Hop and those who fight to keep it alive!
None, but I'd love to learn to play the piano and keyboards one day. That's just one of the prettiest sounds I've ever heard and I enjoy creating beautiful things.
SINCE I HAVE SO MUCH SPACE LEFT, LEMME ADD A LIL' NOTATION UP IN HERE.
I'M OPEN TO COLLABS & LOOKING FOR MALE & FEMALE SINGERS SO HOLLA ATCHA GIRL!!
ALSO... THAT'S NOT ME ON THE ALBUM COVER. THE MODEL IS A BOY AS IN... "BOY KINGS TO THUG RINGS" THE FEATURED SONG ON MY UPCOMING ALBUM. IT'S THE SAME KID ON THE ENTIRE COVER ONLY HE'S A YEAR OLDER ON TOP.
Sony ACID Music Studio 7.0 - I love it! I tried Fruity Loops first, but it was not only harder to learn, I didn't care too much for the layout. I dug all the intruments though. The way you can play piano keys and stuff right from your keyboard. But, when I downloaded a trial version of Sony, I was hooked. It was easy to learn and was more familiar to this newly started producer since it's interface looked liked so many I've seen while recording in other studios.
I'm strictly computer oriented. I cut, rearrange, redesign, and recreate sounds to get the end result I desire. I'm more on the artist side than producer, so I'm not going to waste time learning a bunch of equipment I probably will never really use. I live on the computer, so Sony Music Studio 7.0 was exactly what I needed.
Oh, I guess I should add that I use a mic to record. *L* Nothing fancy. Before my tracks go to commercial sales, they'll be mixed and mastered at a professional studio.
- I Am (Chrisette Michele) - This sista could sing the alphabets and I'd buy her version of it. Twice! One I'd listen to. The other I'd save 'cuz it's gone be a classic. Chrisette's one of very few true, vocal talents in the game today. She's a junior version of greats like Patti Labelle, Chaka Khan, Stephanie Mills. She's unique, beautiful, wholesome, and she's an *$@@#() lady. Hella nice combo.
A few of my favorite songs...
- Golden (Chrisette Michele)
- Black (Pearl Jam's best song)
- The Space Between (Dave Matthew's Band)
- Sometimes (Lil' Mo)
- Hate On Me (Jill Scott)
- 1,000 Miles (Vanessa Carleton) This is my favorite, consumate, white girl song and I say that with the utmost respect. I love this song!
- Roll Me Through The Rushes (Chaka Khan)
- Black Cow (Steely Dan?)
Last, but dang sho not least!
- Lost One (Jay-Z feat. Chrisette Michele)
- We Made It (Busta Rhymes and Linkin Park) Vintage Busta! I loved the hell outta that video!
- What's Happening (Busta Rhymes and Method Man) Dayum! I don't know why that didn't do bigger numbers. Guess it wasn't ignut enough. It was too classic. Too "good." *L*
- Body Kiss (Ron "Mr. Biggs" Isley - muah!)
- Monster (Steppenwolf) - my big brother gave me this album years ago and I'm still feeling the effects.
- E.L.E. (Busta Rhymes) God, I want to meet that man!! *L*
- MeShelle N'degeocello (Plantation Lullabies) I felt this sista from the first chord to the last eloquently spoken take on the world we exist in today. Talk about doin ya thang!
- Digable Planets (Blow Out Comb) A trio of pleasantly spoken, timely delights. I hated it when they left the scene, but always prayed the best for them. Those kids were baaad!
- I'm also still in love with Alanis Morrisette's first 2 CDs. Don't know the titles offhand, but I know all the words to most of the songs. She's one bad sista.
Last, but dang sho not least!
- Jigga What? Jigga Who? (Jay-Z w/Jazz O)
- Diamonds Are 4Ever (Jay-Z's verse on Kanye's track)
- Anything else by Jay-Z!!
MeShell N'Degeocello, Bahamadia, Erykah Badu, Chrisette Michele, Patti Labelle (such a classy sista), Mary J. Blige and all the multi talented sistas who 1) overcame odds to accomplish their goals, 2) carried themselves with class and tact no matter how enticing the money on the other side always is, and, most importantly... 3) Refused to compromise who they are in their life, music, or the way the presented both to the world. I'm feeling all that 'cuz I'm the same way. So, much props to 'em.
My male influences are Jay-Z, Busta Rhymez, 50 Cents, Pharcyde, Helta Skelta, Craig Mack, and other greats. I dig the overall Hip Hop beat where you can do ya thing but still have fun like Craig Mack, or DJ Cool (Let Me Clear My Throat). As for Hov and other current greats, I'm feeling the "be my self and still get paid" attitude 'cuz that's me. Like me, love me, hate me, my music will forever speak for itself and will forever find and have an audience 'cuz it's too real, too today and tomorrow, and too long overdue not to. And, that's not bragging, that's just keepin it 100.
I respect to the utmost Jay-Z's and 50 Cents business savvy. Don't think I'll ever amass their fortunes, but I'll most certainly put to good use whatever I am blessed to earn doing this music thingy as well as other ventures that I love.
A nice mix between MeShelle Ndegeocello, Macy Gray, and, if I can find a good enough singer to do my hooks... you'll hear a taste of my fav girl, Erykah Badu.
My beats range from Hip Hop to R&B, to Pop, to Rock to Alternative. In fact, most may lean towards the Alternative genre 'cuz I don't try to emulate anyone else. I don't follow trends, or "get in where I fit in." I'm a knock down doors type a sista. Create my own path, pave my own road 'cuz I know there's peeps out there that I need to get to whom mainstream America may not have created that road beforehand.
I may produced beats that sound like something Alanis Morrissette should be singing to, rather than Triii C spitting hott fire over. But, I love Alanis, so why not compliment her groove with my lyrics? It's a helluva combo dontcha think?
