I have been making music since 1996 and I have always used Roland products. Right now I have the Fantom which does it all pretty much and I have had ACID 3.0 for about a year and have way more to learn on that. I am not real computer savvy because I grew up before computers were household. So I will be looking forward to getting SONAR 8.0 soon (hopefully) and begin really getting in the software once I have that program - oh - did you know ROLAND makes that!!!!
Use to play bass guitar and a little guitar. Now I play over 700 instruments on just 2 pieces of equipment. Yea Baby !
ACID Pro 3.0 at the moment and I'm still learning. I want and hope to be getting SONAR 8.0, primarily because it is made by Roland and their equipment is not only innovative, but; I've found it to be the most "user friendly" in the business!
Roland Fantom XA 61 key workstation synth w/sampler and a MC 505.
I have no Favorite tracks right now but I like Plastic City's label and their artits (espeically TLB jr.), Mastiksouls' stuff , older DJ Sneak, Junior Boy's Own, Bedrock artists, and Stuff like that. Richie Hawitin, Steve Bug, Tom Baker are some of my favorite DJ's at the moment.
I would say first choice is the first "Renasiance" with Sahsa and Digweed, and then "Welcome to Plastic City" first compiliation. Then some labels I like(d),(were), Circulation, Waxx Traxx, Bedrock, NBG, Plastic City, Mushroom Jazz (Mark Farina), and a couple of "one hit wonder" labels (Atta-boy records), etc.
I like old house, progressive, tribal house, techouse and some minimal techno. I don't care too much for trance or hip-hop (rap). Breakbeat is OK too.
I do a variety of sounds. Every track turns out different in sound and structure. I like that about myself.
