I am a complete newcomer to the world of music making. I play no instruments and I know virtually nothing of music theory. I realise I have a very long way to go before I can say I think I'm any good.
Now studying with The Open University, Michael New via YouTube and BusyWorksBeats.
Tried to play piano, I prefer to use the Daw.
I use the keyboard for some things though.
Fruity Loops Studio 12 and Odesi.
I started with Magix Music Maker but found it a bit limited.
Just acquired Komplete 11, Nexus 2 and Arpology.
Oh yes, and Sibelius First...
Roland A-500 Pro keyboard, nice desktop.
Where do I start?
Good Classical, lots of popular dance music.
Armin van Buuren - A State of Trance Year Mix 2004 - 2013. Twenty CD box set.
My own compilation of music I acquired when I refurbished a dance DJs laptop.
I like EDM: dance/garage/trance that sort of thing but I also love some classical music and lots of modern film music, the action scores...
Nothing I've ever heard any professional do. Lol.
I work in a shop, serving customers and organising the store.
