I prefer working on experimental music but I realize that “it all†has been done before and that whatever myself or others do (musically) it will be just variations of some existing theme. I have no desire to change the world with my music. I do not money and or any level of fame. I simply love music and noise and I love making music and noise.
When asked what instrument I play I proudly say that I play the computer. This seems to piss off “real musicians†and more often than not “real musicians†arrogantly verbally chastise me not only for calling a computer an instrument but for calling what I make music. I am of the belief that if you can make music from something no matter what it is then that which you made the music with is a genuine instrument. Some musical purists are anti-electronic music. I don’t see what the big deal is. I am as moved by Neon Lights by Kraftwerk as I am by Lacrimosa By Mozart. Music is something that is alive in all eras and in all things at all times. It is not confined nor will it ever be. It is timeless and it is universal.
Mama Cass summed it up best in her song Make Your Own Kind Of Music. If you don’t know the song then just Google or you Tube it.
