Hi, I'm an aspiring producer based in the UK, I'm soon to be starting a Music Production HND at a very well established Studio/College "Riverside Music". I play instruments as well as produce and love all things music.
I'm grade 5 standard at playing the viola (alto clef sucks), I'm also grade 7 on electric guitar and bass guitar, I'm currently getting piano lessons as well to get a more well-rounded knowledge of music.
I'm currently using Reaper (cheap i know) but am very proficient on it and enjoy the interface. I've done courses that were based on protools so i can use that well also. I also have AIR's Xpand2, Mini Grand, and the creative collection for plugins.
I use a 61 key Alesis MIDI keyboard for most of my productions, i also record guitar parts and other stuff with a SubZero SZC Microphone, I have a bunch of hardware for my guitar i won't list it all.
I'm currently listening to a Flume remix of "You and me", if you haven't heard flume and you're a producer, you should definitely check it out.
My favourite albums include C2C's "Down the Road", Gorillaz "Plastic Beach", Alabama 3's "Exile on Coldharbour Lane", I also listen to a lot of Louis Prima but not specific albums.
My main influences for style/genre are Jazz, Rock and Pop, but i try to get a variety of genres into my work. My favourite artists include Tender and Manchester Orchestra.
I've never been able to describe my music, i haven't really worked out what my preferred style, I like to experiment as much as i can. You could liken it towards Tender but not all of it.
I'll be moving to Glasgow City soon to start my HND course and live there. By which point every aspect of my life will pretty much be music related :)
