I'm French and I am in the beatmaking since now 3 years but I never show anything on internet or in public. Just to my friends and family. So I have a little bit experience now and plan to make a mixtape soon, probably in 2021.
I've played drums during a few year when I was younger and tha'ts all.
I use Ableton 10 and FL Studio 12.
I don't use one particularly and for my boom bap type beat I mostly use sample from old music.
I am listenning to Big L and Biggie but also other french rapper. If I got to recommand just one I will talk about Népal. He is unique and brings some powerfuls vibes in his sounds. He sadly die last year in 2019.
I'll choose "Projet Blue Beam" by Freeze Corleone and "Adios Bahamas" from Népal to represent the modern french rap game. For the US Hip-Hop I will choose "Ready To Die" from The Notorious B.I.G, "Center of Attention" from Inl "Lifestylez ov da Poor & Dangerous" from Big L and "The Infamous" by Mobb Deep.
I love Hip-Hop more than anything and especially where it comes from, the USA.And more specially The 90's Hip-Hop. Of course the biggest one like Tupac, Biggie, A Tribe Called Quest, Wu-Tang Clan or Big L but also the less influent. I like the 90's but don't have any problem with modern rap I love Trap and Drill and do some beat like that sometimes. I like french Hip-Hop too, the oldest (NTM,FF,IAM...) like the new one (Sopico, Niska, Népal, Lesram...). I love old music where I usually found dope samples. I'm also passionate about Lo-fi Hip-Hop (Nujabes, Phlocalyst, 90's Flav...), Phonk and Synthwave.
My music is really chill a little bit inspired by Fat Jon and Nujabes. But sometimes I like A big bouncing boom bap or a fat track of Gangta's trap. It's two opposite worlds but I'm in this two.
I am a student but what I really want to do in my life is music. Seriously, when I'm not making music I listen to music. I'm always searching of new albums to listen and I listen to them carefully. And not just Hip-Hop (A lot of Hip-Hop) but every style of music can be good music.
