Some of the 3rd party plugins I use are YM2612, Famisynth, Neochip and Plogue chipsounds. Yes, those are all video game synthesizers.

Nothing here but cheap headphones and a low-end laptop. Also dollar store speakers.

Lately I've been on a power metal kick. DragonForce, Freedom Call, Orden Ogan and Alestorm are the ones I've listened to the most.

I'm not going to pick favorite albums because I'd have to change this constantly for it to be accurate.

I dunno. I listen to a lot of metal, dubstep and retro video game music. I guess I pull stuff from those things in my own music.

Where to begin.
I guess grab some of the melodies and complexity you would hear in progressive metal.
Throw in some late 80s and early 90s pop and R&B flavor.
Nerd it up with some video game music.
Add 808 bass and other trap samples.
Shake that shit up and let it settle.
Voila! You have me!

I'm a dishwasher. It pays well because it's a sports venue.
