Been 'working' on music since 08-09 with Sony Acid and just recently got back into making music with another DAW.
As a kid I use to play a clarinet. Does that count?
LMMS, Audacity, and sometimes, but rarely Soundforge.
I don't like using much hardware, but I will use my mic to do some voices every once and a while.
99% of my music is created on the PC. LMMS does offer a piano roll where you can metronome, but I like to be very controlling of what goes where.

Linkin Park: Hybrid Theory is at least one (early teen's) and then I moved into pretty much everything Hollywood Undead. Just love HU so much.
If I've heard it and enjoyed it, it's been a influence. Right now I'm more into a dark-trippy style when before it was a bit of an all-out mix between hip-hop and electronic.
The XX, Midnight City, Daughter, City & Colour, Hollywood Undead (a lot of different genres).
I myself can't describe it most of the time. I have a hard discussion within of what genre it would be under as, as a category. Most of it is now Dark/Trance/Techno, with some bass and drums. In the end I think it's more experimental because in the past I've used Looperman as a piece to fit a wide range of genre/music (into my puzzle).
