Trying to record songs but I die of cringe when I hear them back, so for now I’m only producing and just doin my thing, still tryna find a good style for my beats but memphis revival seems to be it.
I mean, keyboard, technically. That’s really just so I can create my own loops.
Believe it or not, I use garageband IOS for everything I do. Yes the app has its limits but it’s free and overall nice if you get used to it.
Nothing right now, but if I decide to record I’ll use my Devine M-Mic. Looking for a keyboard too though.
Listening to mostly memphis rap, notably some DJ Zirk stuff, but I always listen to the most random-ahh songs. From lil droptop golfcart to Tyler, The Creator to 3 6 or Zirk.
Hard to pick, but recently I’ve come to love Ashes to ashes, dust to dust ‘94 from Tommy Wright III, and Buckshot’z Strapped Wit Them Thangz.
Triple 6 mafia, Tommy Wright The Third, Gangsta Pat, but also some other old school rappers like the South Central Cartel and Spice 1.
Old-school Memphis rap from the 90’s. I try to mix it with west coast and boom bap occasionally, it’s something pretty unique.
Mostly work on mopeds and scooters. Right now I’m working on a Tomos :D
