Well What Can I Say....... I'm Music Through And Through..... I'd Give My Left Hand Away To Be Ambidextrous... But No One Can Have My Ears....... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- At the Age Of 6 i had my first keyboard and couldn't play nothing on there... I'm 19 now and i still cant play noting on it.... In secondary school at the age of 12 i took up playing the trombone... i couldn't play the trumpet due to the mouth piece being too small for my large jaw line i played trombone for about 2 years. In that time I played a numerous amount of songs. i played in the orchestra in school and i also ended up playing the trombone parts for the school play "Bugsy Malone" (which was Awesome!) After that i put the trombone to rest. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- At the age of 13 going on 14 i picked up the Guitar... got taught a few chords and i was happy to go to guitar lessons in the school. i learnt very fast... pick up on different strumming and picking patterns. different styles of music, and the complexity of the song. And to this day i still play guitar. I'm in a band called "Hornet. www.myspace.com/hornet2009". I'm Doing Great -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- During 14 going 15. i found the bass Guitar. and picked it up at an evening band practice and got into a little band with Lee Devlin On Vocals. Andrew Sheard On Guitar. Chris Sharples On Drums. And Myself On Bass. We Didn't have a band name. That Went On For Half A Year. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I left School at the age of 16. Young fresh and ready for the world of music. I had a Phone call one day from Colin Nichols Saying the he wants a jam session up the club. i turned up. my brother turned up and 2others plus Colin. we bashed a few chords for a few weeks a packed up. Colin Phoned me up again a few weeks later saying that he needs help with teaching a few people guitar so i said yes no problem. there was between 6-10 people on a good day turning up. this went on for a year and broke up. And all this took play in the Hollywood Social Club. 17-20 During This Time I Mainly Stayed At the Hollywood because of the drinks and the love of music. In 2007/2008 we started An Open Mic At The Club On A Sunday afternoon From 12-5. this is still running but more at 4-6 because Majority of the crowd do get there till then! But Anyways. Ive Met A great number of people/musicians from the Hollywood social. I've played with a fair few of them. ive learnt other instruments like. Harmonica, Didgeridoo, Kazoo, Sitar, Double Bass, Tuba, Drums, Percussion + more stuff. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In February 2009 I Join A Band Called Hornet. which Consist Of. Thom Kerin On Vocals/Guitar. Jon Swain On Bass. Andy Ham On Drums. And Myself On Guitar. We Started Off With A Fair Few Covers. Then Made Our Own First Track Titled "Falling" and carried on with music. On 15th of august 2009 we had our first gig. I could of went better (i think) because all of us were pissed getting on stage. HAHA. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- That same day i had the following gig on that day with one of my best mates Scott Weafer. Me and him Had Grew up together since secondary school. And in the second gig the line up was Scott Weafer On Vocals/Guitar Kerry Smyth On Vocals/Guitar And Myself On Bass. By this time you should of found out that i don't sing :). That went great...... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hornet have New Songs And A Few Gigs Lined Up And I'm Still Using "Fruity Loops" Which I Have Been Using Since The Age 14.
