Buddhist Dad and bearded vegetable grower living in Kent, UK. I downloaded Magix Music Maker to amuse my kids and got hooked on producing tunes. Am now wanting more than the pre-loaded loops and beats and looking for ways to better my production. Not a professional, though, just having fun!

I play acoustic guitar and (Irish) bouzouki for making folky noises, also a bit of djembe. Knowing one end of a keyboard from the other would probably be more handy!

Also trip hop - Massive Attack, Tricky, Portishead usw. Stuff on Warp in the 90s - Autechre, Seefeel, Squarepusher, Plaid.

Nobody actually recording I doubt! Am still very amateurish sounding and definitely nowhere near cutting edge. In fact I think the cutting edge and me are not even nodding acquaintances let alone friends. Probably some resemblence to old school trance, spacey/psychedelic stuff and new wave electronica.

Meditate, practice yoga, grow vegetables and raise my kids. I used to be an academic biologist and now write science/health articles for the interwebs.
