Description : Had the idea of The holy trinity of Father, Son, Holy Ghost used ispeech for the spoken word.

Most of the VSTs here are from Native Instruments and MHC Industrial Tones/Ambient Keys.
14th Dec 2010 23:52 - 14 years ago
Description : This is the new version of Monolith (We See The Dawn) and vastly improved! If it sounds like Ultravox (Midge Ure, Warren Cann, Billie Currie, Chris Cross lineup) then hopefully I've done my job as that was exactly my intention. There's no hiding this was the group that I loved in the 80's (inc John Foxx's line up). I can almost imaging Billy Currie playing the piano and lead synth!
It's going to be entered on the Ultravox website as they do a competition each year for a 'soundalike' Ultravox track.
For those wanting to know the VSTs used the lead synth and portamento comes from 'Scanned Synth', pianos from True Piano's, Drums Cakewalk's Session Drummer, percussive noise from Ugo's Ironhead and MCH's Industrial Tones (my new VST) and Absynth as usual.

Description : A bit of a bad ass track for me quite 'industrial'. Also with a slight 'ethnic' feel

Description : This has just been updated (25/10/10).
Well, this has been waiting since February 2010 to be finished! But I finally found a soft synth that emulates the e-bow made well known by Bill Nelson. So this speared me on to finish the track. I dedicate this to my good friend, Jon for his excellent e-bow playing back in the 80's.

I'm not to sure how to describe this piece, it's been a pain to finish but this is almost there, I'll let you decide! It's quite rocky/beaty. There might be a few more updates before I'm entirly happy.

Description : OK. This might not be the finished cut but it's been 2 weeks in the making and I need a rest on this. It's a very atmospheric piece with some nice melodies but please bare with it as it is a slow starter!
It's really a 2 parter and wasn't too sure if they would flow togther but I'm happy with it. A bit gloomy which made me think of Requiem. Again, a few vocals by me.
30th Sep 2010 19:21 - 14 years ago
Description : This track takes its title from lyrics from a track by Mike Oldfield/Phillip Glass from the Platinum album. Most of the vst's used come from Wusik EVE, Wusikstation, ArtVera Drumatoxin and Rapture. I've added some dodgy vocals by myself which are heavily disguised with some effects.
14th Sep 2010 23:01 - 14 years ago
Description : A dark eerie track which started out as a test. I've used some of the Wusikstation presets here with the rhythmic elements from Drumatoxin (Artvera) and Wusik EVE. Other sounds come from Alchemy
29th Aug 2010 23:39 - 14 years ago
Description : A 'nice' acoustic track. Hope you like it
24th Aug 2010 22:22 - 14 years ago
Description : Trying a trance like track here. Hope it came off! I have to apologise as I used a vocal from the site but I cannot find the lady whose vocal it is. So if you reckonise the 'Ooh Ooh Ooh Yeah Yeah' vocal then many thanks and I hope you like it! Please let me know who you are and I will add the 'collaboration'.
13th Aug 2010 22:01 - 14 years ago
Description : A piece which is bordering on soundtrack music (possibly could fit into a John Carpenter film somewhere).
In this track I have used instruments from Golden ASET by ArtVera, Alchemy (mainly a new bank of presets just released called Planet Earth) and good old Absynth.
I have just recently upgrade my DAW to Sonar Producer 64 bit. Again, put myself onto a learning curve but this is the first track off the production line. The last part of the arpeggiator reminds me of SanJacinto by Peter Gabriel.

Description : This was one of my first recordings last year using Samplitude. It's entirely loop based with no VSTs.

It probably could do with some re-mixing now that Ive moved to Sonar and I think I know what I'm doing!.

It is a journey through a tunnel with birds singing when you get into the light hence the sounds at the end.
15th Jul 2010 20:04 - 14 years ago
Description : IV'E JUST UPDATED THIS TRACK WITH SOME HELP FROM VERA KINTER.

This track was entirely written using Wusikstation v6 and additional instruments from Artvera's Wusikstation soundbanks and ArtVera's Golden ASET.
This has an 'Ethnic' feel with a few monks thrown in for good measure. The title comes from part of a speech from Nelson Mandela on his 90th birthday which is the sample on the end of the track.
4th Jul 2010 22:38 - 14 years ago
Description : I've been working on this for 3 months but just coudn't finish it until now.

This is all Cakewalk synths, mainly Dimension LE and Z3ta+. I bought a soundpack for Dimension LE and Z3ta+ was on special offer.

I wanted a heavy electronic/trance beat and the Z3ta+ arps were ideal to finish this off. Hope you like it!

Description : Another old one from about a year ago. Mainly loops with a few lead synth sounds. A few nice vocals here to give it that 'new age' trance feel. I was still doing the 'learning curve' on my DAW. But still a good beat!

Description : Another old track with looped vocals. Again, loops from Magix and DAW was Magix Samplitude.

Description : This is one of my original tracks written using Samplitude about a year ago. It's all loop based which is how I started with a synth lead (brass) at the end. A cross between tangerime dream meets mike oldfield with phil collins on drums!! I still like it even though I dont use loops any more.
1st Jul 2010 20:53 - 14 years ago
Description : I want a raucous first part with ambient second part. Hopefully this was acheived.
18th Jun 2010 22:25 - 14 years ago
Description : This was based around the bassline with piano melody. I also used Catanya arpeggiator by 7Aliens on this track

Description : The name of this track comes from a diary quotation from Donald Crowhurst, the ill fated yaughtsman who dissapeared in 1969 in The Sunday Times Golden Globe Race.

Description : I was inspired by a magnificent Burial Chamber in Pembrokeshire to write this electronic 'folk' tune.
8th Jun 2010 22:21 - 14 years ago

5th Jun 2010 00:04 - 14 years ago
