Description : I think it's a late evening song to accompany you for a single drink.
Jazzy in most of the aspects. It is made single handedly so please consider it an experimentation for the thrill of making music.
Hope you will like it.

This is a really cool, nice track. All the elements work together well. They keep it interesting and flowing nicely with some great details. To make it more of what it could be would be to add more drum dynamics, fills, hits and drops etc (I also ignore the drums too much myself when doing some stuff). Also the horn sound has the ability to be more pervasive and 'in yer face' in my opinion however these don't detract from a well made well put together piece. Wishing you well with your work, It's tight and compelling.

Thank you so much for listening and commenting on my music. I really agree about the drums, it is one of my weaknesses. Actually it is a combination of things and the major one is that programming the drums is very time consuming especially when there is lack of knowledge of the instrument. Modern software drummers are a fine solution but again if one wants his music to be realistic, he has to spent time on it.
Thanks for your advice, it might push me to a more cautious use and programming of the various drum vsts and in some cases the raw midi stuff.
Wish you the best for the New Year

I like very much the ambiants sounds like the string one and the rhode well done man. You might just crisp a lil bit more on the drums but that is my personal taste haha

Beautiful work - reminded me a little of Burt Bacharach at the start and then devolves and circles around in a dreamy lofi jazzy lushness that is never entirely predictable but somehow familiar. Very nicely produced too. Accolades well deserved

It sounds to me like a Jazz track with modern sounds, especially the synth/fx.
Very relaxing and the mixing is very very good, sounds so clear, well done!

Thank you so much for visiting Paul, it is always a great pleasure to have you around. I know you listen with real interest so your option matters so much. I am delighted you liked the song, I think I will possibly try another one with the same materials. You see my wife liked it too (she never liked my repetitions in my music...which, to be true, are not rear..). Have a nice Christmas Paul

Hello AnthonyA, you've put together a nice jazz track here. It has all the essential elements you want to hear in a jazz piece....a nice laidback bass line, very sweets keys, steady percussions and cool strings, not to leave out a nice effects presence.....it's a good job my friend.

Anthony! This is a full and lush composition. Yep a whole vibe! Brass is masterful, the organ sits just right. The whole mix has an atmosphere that is hitting me just right. Lastly the baseline is fire. Well well done!

Well such a pleasant comment from a jazz master makes me feel great (and slightly stressed to tell you the truth). It is so helpful for me to understand which paths should I follow during my composition attempts. When a piece is liked by the listeners a "green light" is on. When not, you do understand it is rather a "red" one ! Thank you so much for your time to listen and comment on my music.
My best wishes and Merry Christmas

Hello Antuony, I don't know which rooftop bar BaoBou prefers in Athens. But I could imagine that BaoBou and I might end up in the same bar. So if you see us together on any warm summer evening in one of these bars, please join us. We warmly invite you! Beautiful, slightly jazzy but still bluesy music carried to my ears by wonderful instruments. A lovely relaxing sound that perfectly matches a lovingly crafted and served drink in a pleasant atmosphere. Lovely! Best wishes, Manuela.

I'm imagining being in my favorite Athens rooftop bar, overlooking a plateia with people having their first drink or maybe the last freddo before the weekend. A big lounge chair, an Mythos or maybe a leyko krasi... I'm transported far away.

Great stuff man, and welcome to the club of DIY producers. If you always try to make what you need, we may occasionally fail but we also learn a lot and have a lot of fun.

Thanks a lot for your time to listen and comment on my music. I am really satisfied that you seem to like it. Yes, experimenting actually is what I enjoy in music making the most. I so much love to listen to real jazz musicians and perhaps some of it, is within me by now. It is a whole mind game, with roles and scenario. Well I cannot say much about Saturday (full 24 hour work sheet), I hope in a resting Sunday although it begins with sorrow feelings for a loving person of mine. There are those inevitable conditions in life full of sentiments and thoughts. I wish back to you kalo SK (nice weekend for the non Greek friends of mine) and keep on making such good music.
Best wishes, Anthony.

I'm gonna say the experiment was a success! It starts out with an Issac Hayes vibe--that fusion of soul and jazz from the 70's. Then, it goes off in unexpected places, but masterfully you brought it back seamlessly to the that Issac Hayes vibe. The organ was a very nice touch. I especially like how you mixed it towards the back, but then brought it a bit forward as the track progressed. It's also interesting that you chose to not end the composition as it started. Love it, Love, it Love it!

LovePeace&Light,

Mykael

Thank you Mykael for your nice words and your encouraging thoughts about my music. It is very interesting to try to understand how others listen to what I make. Only imagine how happy may feel those artists that the whole world accepts their works, and people love it and appreciate it. It has to be a huge feeling. It is not the feeling of success for me, it is the feeling of acceptance. So that's why I feel so good with your thoughts and writings. It is a unique team here in LM and it is so beautiful to feel accepted.
My best regards, Anthony.

Description : Do not freak out just because this is jazz! There's also blues, rock, funk and a little hip hop in it to break up the deep, chillout jazz sections - gets particularly rocking then funky at the end. Main bassline (the track's foundation) is recycled leftover slide resonator guitar parts detuned one octave to make a slide bass sound. Also features: piano, violin, hammered dulcimer, organ, ethereal pad guitar, bass guitar, jazz/blues/rock electric guitar and multiple programmed acoustic drumkits. This was difficult to make at times as I thought I needed more leads parts eg from sax or trumpet. But I'm happyish with the end result. I expect very little interest in this as it's both jazz and long jazz. But it's also an unusual type of genre-mixing jazz. So, leave your thoughts, good or bad, if you like...

Description : This track contains only free loops from Stayonbeat.com and several loops from Looperman artists (listed below). I "made a promise" that my next track will be use a lot of jazzy loops - well, i done with this track, for the great sadness of jazz lovers or experts i think - i fear they will never forgive me. :) While my ISP launches my internet out of the Earth system for a long time, i had to face the fact that i dont have too much downloaded jazz loops on my computer, so i think no wonder that this one is sounds like if i smoke some marihuana while making it. But hey, who cares, i like the result - it reminds me the (maybe only) really funny episode of "Breaking Bad", where Pinkman uses some heroin and flyes up with an idiotic smile on his face - that chapter is priceless. :D
I dont think this one needs a vocal, but ofcourse you can use it if you want, and as always, just write and i will give any support as i can. Any feedback welcomed too as always. Enjoy! UPDATE 2015.10.24.: improved audio quality - lower lows, higher highs. Now in 256kbps!
