Shake a hand, make a friend indeed... love the message (which we certainly need to hear more of in our current world state). The keys are very nice and add a warm / magical atmosphere to the track. And I'm really diggin' your layered vocals as well, overall a great production from start to finish with a very positive message. Your collab with Jynxz has produced a gem and certainly a new fav for me, excellent job Micky!
Thank you for the kind words, Dennel. Much appreciated. And yes, you're right... these are difficult times. I probably should have written "Lend a hand .." rather than "Shake a hand .." ... My answer will probably always be positivism, in the hope that that is worth something.
Best wishes,
Micky
Geia, pos eisai fanisatt,
Thanks for the compliment. We're very happy that you like the track. I think the details are the most important thing, aren't they?
Cheers,
Micky
Nice composition.
I'm seeing less stereo wide bass would pull it all together by shrinking space. I myself love going wide but it causes phase anomalies shifting polarity(s). Insert a good chorus effect and tune it in, it gives the wide with less notice being out of phase and to the non technical listener, perceived as being off..
Its a jungle out there,,, lol Best Always, Sal
Hi Sal,
great that you liked the track.
Yes, the bass thing was an experiment. Up until then I had always kept the bass completely central, so no panning. But this time I thought, why not be unconventional, and bang... good old Sal from Brooklyn noticed. But seriously - I'm grateful for your tip about the chorus. I'll try that out as soon as I have time for the studio again. Man, you really have a very trained ear... respect!
Best wishes,
Micky
Micky, how are ya, man?
I wasn't sure if I really wanted to click on an RnB tune. It really isn't my preferred genre. But it's still better than American Country Western. But, that's beside the point.
The point is, I'm glad I did. This is fan-fuckin'-tastic! The mix is crystal. Very impressive by itself. The vocals are awesome. I really like the ping-pong delay that gives them a much wider sound, but still not crowding the place up. You know, the vocal style, not necessarily the timbres, but the style reminds me a bit of some deeper tracks by War.
Damn, man. The deeper I listen the more impressed I am. You have so many elements in here all happening at once. Not only instruments and fillers, but effects as well, and absolutely nothing is stepping on each other.
Damn fine track, man. Excellent work between the two of you. Keep it coming!
Take care.

Hello V.
Thank you for your detailed review.
Is American Country & Western really that awful? I don't know much about it...
Yes, I consciously paid attention to everything you describe during production. And your nice comment is now a kind of approval. That's why LM still makes sense for me personally. Ultimately, you have direct access to a lot of listeners to get feedback on your work. As far as I'm concerned, that's enough. You can test yourself here, so to speak.
So, thank you again, also on behalf of my colleague JYNXZ.
Cheers,
Micky
Gorgeous - does have somewhat of an old school rnb vibe in some aspects but brought right up to now with that crystal production sound and a touch of jazzy funk. Really beautiful work on the keys and amazing vocals and vocal harmonies. Very sweet vibraphone type sounds in there too. Wonderful
Hi TrippleN, I'm glad you liked the track. Unfortunately there is no physical copy, but if I release a full album soon, I'll definitely consider vinyl.
Cheers,
Micky
Hi Oli, thank you for the review, nice to know that you liked it.
However, I would like to point out that there are no vocal samples... without exception, all of the voices were sung by me personally, each one individually. I'm increasingly trying to work out polyphonic vocal passages... it's an ongoing process. So it's all just exercises, so to speak.
Thanks again,
Peace
Your 5 stars are worth more to us than a Grammy or something like that... I know what kind of musical work you do yourself and that makes your compliment all the more valuable. Thank you!
Peace,
Micky
Greetings, Now this was interesting to listen to. I like the good old synth vibes in this one. Brings some fond memories to me from back in the days. The vocals were prety nice as well. So very well done and loved it. Have a good one, Verdi

Hi 500cc, it shouldn't be that far from house. I grew up with the whole Chicago House catalog and am a real fan, so it's quite possible that some of that always comes through. Thanks for your comment, very glad you like it.
Cheers,
Micky
Hello Micky, this is a great track my friend, it totally has everything you look for in a piece of music.....great vocals, nice musical arrangement. Well done brother.
Hey Glenn, we are very happy about your comment because it is a real confirmation and is very supportive! We really appreciate your review and will keep trying to always give our best.

Hello BaoBou, I'm really happy that my co-pilot and I were able to work together again. It always adds up to more than just the sum of the two of us. Thanks for listening and for the nice comment.

Yes it is a very nice work. My opinion is that it has professional standards. Both the music and the production are excellent in every aspect.
My best regards, Anthony.

Wicked, one from my favorite LM duo. Had to listen straight away. Your voice and the production is fantastic as it always is. Great song, love the words. This is just dreamy, well done both and hi to jynxz.
Hi Chris, oh yes, it really is dreamy. But combined with a pinch of hope. And you know yourself that that is a real currency at the moment!
Btw (CAN) ... I had a listen to MOTHER SKY lately ... still great!
Cheers and all the best to you,
Micky
The vocals at the beginning have a late 60s feeling - reminds me a bit of The Fifth Dimension - Age of Aquarius in parts - love the blended vocals and the way this rolls into a RnB/jazz-type fusion, (in my head, anyway). Kay
