Description : I wanted to upload the drums and bass alone as a song because it just sounded great but I waited to lay down a few acoustic tracks, a mandolin track and some classical guitar on this. Added some percussion. Latin feel, think Miami, sexy, hot... It is short but sweet.

I hear this coming out of From Dusk Till Dawn. Very clear and tasty leads, like it a lot. Your backlog is about to be raided after the last few things I've heard from you.
Diggin it.
Thanks again for stopping by and leaving a comment.
I am slowly doing some remastering and eq on some of my older songs and giving them a few days on the featured track list to give some newer members a chance to hear some of my older material. Glad you are liking the tracks,
Cool stuff. Great bass tone. You can really hear the buzz of those strings.
While this is only just over a minute, there's a lot in it becomes it's very busy and doesn't bother with any introductions or breaks (though the one pause is nice) so it feels kind of rushed. So, bit like an interlude on an album.
Or maybe more like an interlude on a TV series with lots of fast cut moving activity going on. Could definitely be effective used that way.
Acoustic instruments are all really well recorded and played on this one. Nice reverb on mandolin and classical guitar. Can't fault their production.
It is an interlude, I do these short tracks every once in a while to throw between tracks just to make an album interesting.
It started out as a full 3:00 track but when it really came down to it, the 1:09 version summed it all up. I think a short track that has a lot going on will make the listener hit the play button again. Then hopefully again and again.
The guitar and bass dropped at the beginning to perfection to set the stage for this Salsa Cha Cha Cha vibe I am getting here. The mandolin- great choice!! You are right it is short BUT it is SWEET!! Enjoyed!! Fila
Hey, thanks for the nice review. Sorry the reply was this late but life gets in the way some times. I love the mandolin, it really adds a nice higher end string sound to the mix.
Nice to revisit this piece! This is so professional in every way from the performances to the mixing! All around perfection! Samba usually isn't my thing, but I can totally get into this!
Thanks Pat. This one was inspired by the two very cool drum and bass loops. I have those two tracks worked out for a couple minutes but for some reason I kept it short. I like it this way.
Sorry for the late response, life gets in the way sometimes.Take care.
Sorry for getting back to you this late, sometimes music takes a back seat. I appreciate you putting this up on the review club thread. Glad you liked it, there is an appeal to me for it being so short, makes you want to go back for more, lol!
This is ridiculously amazing. The guitars meshed beautifully with each other and with the the rest of the track. Really love the latin feel to it, kinda of like a slow dance at a dance near a beach. Was only disappointed with the ending as it felt like it just stopped. It was still a great track.
Thanks for such a nice review! I liked it a the point where it stopped so I kept it short, sorry. You can always hit the play button again, lol! Sorry for getting back to you so late.
I like guitar squeaks!!..the more the merrier...I like that gyro as well...a bit of a tease coz it was so short..But Wayne you know what this track has....sex appeal!!lol..serious mate it's a horny little number and I enjoyed it very much...cheers mate Dave :)
Sorry for the late reply Dave, life gets in the way and music has to take a break sometimes. That's ok because I usually feel invigorated and rejuvenated after a well deserved break. Thanks for stopping by and giving this one a listen. "a horny little number", haha, I met a few women who.....lol
Great track, Wayne! And you know what? I have always really liked guitar string squeaks, and I have heard them on some of the best albums by some of the world's finest players. So don't worry about it unless it bugs you. Personally, I think the squeaks are a cool part of that instrument. Shadowdog has found a real gem!
I could fix the squeeks but I'm too lazy!! It's part of playing stringed instruments. Sometimes I will just lower them and stil leave them in. I lose the clave in them though, that should have been louder in the mix.
Hey Wayne....this is as refreshing as a mojito on a humid summer day. Glad you added the guitar and mandolin as they sit perfectly here.
well done

This might be short, but I'm thinkin that it'd be the perfect lil interlude between tracks on an album. And it doesn't even have to be a music CD, because for some odd reason this is reminding me of that one lil musical skit that was on the Dennis Leary album Lock'N'Load (something about a dinner reception for deaf people, I think). Or even for other media purposes (a commercial {particularly for resorts or restaurants}, or a show's theme song, or those "We'll be right back" messages). Just some food for thought if you were thinking about doing something with this. Lates!
Thanks Donnie. It's short, it's an interlude I think. I never heard that DL skit but I'l keep my ears out for it!
I sent this to Shadowdog Productions and they liked it and told me they could use it somewhere in one of their projects, audioplay, maybe a film if I'm lucky!!
Very very nice, short and sweet is correct. Like many of the peruvian women I've encountered ;) Great latin jazz piece, really like how you change it up here on looperman!
Nice Track. Some Samba allways Lifts my Spirit and you also have Rock Tracks Ambiant Tracks. You Are a master of many different Genres that takes Great Understanding of music
Wow.
I got chills instantly.
That's a fave in my book.
You rock tits!
OH, haha, again going with my response thing, a thing I learnt workin in a studio for a bit, was when recording some acoustic steel strings, is to soak the left hand in water for 4-10 minutes before the take, then the skin becomes kinda soft and won't cause any of the squeaky mouse sounds.
Lotion works too, but then you get grimey strings.
I loved it man.
You are a standout musician with a twenty foot ear for music.
Thanks man. I know what you mean about the string squeeks. I have a great tool in Audition called the spot healing brush, it removes these squeeky noises and things like that. I got rid of the worse ones and left a few in to show off, haha. No really, just left a few in to show it was an honest day at the office.
Nice relaxing piece you ave going here, yep it is short but so enjoyable, nice bassline, good guitar work my friend, extremely good listen, ty and fav'd Wayne...Peace my friend...Estefano...
Sweet and Latin flavor. I was delighted and I know that the Spanish guitar solo is tempting. But you should make a longer version, no more than three minutes (I know you), with a singing part in the middle. So sure was my fav, because the sound you've done is tremendously tempting.
Thanks, I knew you would like this, haha! I would like to get some of the feel of this track on the track you sent me. This is why I play guitar, this song makes it so much fun to do it!!
Description : i played salsa for last 15 years sometimes with 5 latinos in band....so i made a track with some chuck mangione style trumpets...been putting it together through the years..
Description : A fun little latin song I did together with my wife Claudia. Acoustic guitar, percussion, keys, bass and vocals. A good exercise in timing for me. Cheers and enjoy. - Bill ( Bilbozo ) Smith
Diggin it.
