Different from the kind of rock I'm used to hearing. Seems to me to be a bit of melding of genres in this one and, seeing as its something I frequently do myself, like when others do it.
At 0:33 - Holy f*ck. That synthline is amazing. I love the crunchiness of all the instruments. Feels like it's all going to crumble into pieces at any moment, with the glitched vocals and the keys adding a sense of paranoia. Well done.
Bah... I wrote a long review and then tried to download it and it redirected me!
GRRR.
Anyway. You are a musician man. I dig that.
I love your Rock aesthetics and your openness to electronica.
It's totally forward thinking, and the whole rhythm section is AMAZING.
I was clicking fave like a machine gun! lol
Downloaded too.
I love it. The breakdown was awesome, and I love how you tapered this off.
Amazing.
EDIT.
Listening again at home... Curious about the title.
And I also really like Spivkurls suggestion.
Some vocals would be awesome.
I would love to see you in a band!!!!
Glad to hear you liked this track. I was actually a little unsure about this one after it was finished...I enjoyed it, I just didn't think other people would really dig it. The title is pretty random, I just slapped that on there. However, back in the day there were a couple of times when I stole vodka, mainly at parties. Thanks for listening, your thoughts, views, opinions are always appreciated on this end!
ps vocals would be awesome, I don't have any that work well with this piece. You wanna give them a shot?
I was trying to think of just emoticons for this review lol
That saw bass almost made me think of the dubstep stuff! Very cool.
I really love your integration of Rock attitude and still keeping it very digital.
Dope on multiple levels.
Man you have grown a crap load too!!
You have your own sound, and the most undeniable attitude to your work.
I am gonna check out the other new stuff.
This is SO cool! Definitely the weirdest thing I've heard today, but I love it! Those snare drums remind me of gunshots! I love the agressive synths and bass! This would be great with some cool vocals! Awesome track! Faved for sure!
sounds experimental ...... were u looking for different sounds to work with....? It's good in it's own way.... i can hear that in a movie horror or drama/action..........peace
Lovely. Within 5 seconds I remembered exactly why I like your music so much (you've got others in my fave collection). Eshar's right, you do have a signature sound that really stands out.
Fusion it is in the true sense of the word. I love hearing the glitchiness with the edges smoothed by that screaming guitar. Celebration is a great title here - nothing but unabashed joy in fragmented shards of sound emerging from an ecstatic racket.
That is a great beat love it. Minimal is cool. love the dark sounds, psy style, love that wobble lead that is cool. Have you heard the new Basement Jaxx? song featuring Yoko Ono, features poems over minimal beats. Anyway cool song I like what i hear
yeh great use of vox samples, intro was wikd build up loving the sounds you used, that woke the track up, the contrast of sounds waz spot on and the dark twisted sounds was devastating
Reverse1984 - you've listened to my stuff, so I doubt you'll be surprised that I absolutely love this one! This is IT! Without the back story here, I would never have suspected that this wasn't a carefully arranged collaboration. Your choices of sound and how Elaine's voice becomes inseparable from the glitched sounds is really amazing. It's one thing to make music artfully, and entirely another when art is musical - you have indeed 'nailed' it here. The simplicity underlying the complexity of your rhythm works so well. "I wish I was God, the All Seeing Eye." Faved for sure.
that's an awesome mash-up of elaines fantastic work!
Wow, I love the glitch work you did on her voice! that is brilliant!
I really dig this... a lot..
Gotta love elaine.
I don't know what else to say!
I am dancing in a circle listening screaming, "Don't stop! Don't Stop! Don't Stop! Yarghhhhhhh!"
lol

This is oh so very different, very artistic. Actually I'm stunned that this level of creativity has come out of Toronto :)
Go Habs Go ( Guess where I'm from...LOL ). Seriously dude, great track.
No offense taken man...you can't please everyone when it comes to music...I just aim to please myself with my tracks. Its just a bonus if others dig it. Thanks for listening and reviewing!
great creative use of the great work of Elaine she does have an aura to the way she delivers even after all the great processing you did on her voice the emotion still comes through, great musical production sounds solid, great structure, very interesting work of art to listen to, I'm finding more and more great Canadian artist on this site, Elaine must think us Canadians have a thing for her, lol, check out what I did with one of her vocal loops, she is not in there a lot but she gives the track the emotion it needed, I did a video for the track.
My musical treatment is completly different from your my approach was rock, she is there at the start but I played with her more a t the end of the track last third, cheers from Quebec mon ami. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VxLxApLTz8

Strong guitar sounds (rock)
hot synth at around 1:55 (electronic)
and the glitchy atmospheres to finish it off!
