I was sat on an old stump as the prairie wind blew the stink of old sores and last nights drunk from my pores, contemplating man's inhumanity to man when a gopher appeared and side glanced me in a way that said have you ever considered the totally unfeasible act of a horse being able to use a mobile phone. It was through this experience and stevierain's bars that this song was bourne.

Hey thanks. This is my state of mind mostly but instead of electro-pop insert Abba, Gabba and Beethoven's 3rd (in sentiment only.. not skills) I struggle with the mastering and wonder why I should change what I liked as a mix (the loudness war is over but the window has shifted) I used a stack I found on youtube but I might go full Glenn White an say fuggit you wanna hear it, turn it up. I have an unsubstantiated theory that amps prefer to be pushed harder and create more dynamic range in this way.

Hey thanks. The intro was nominally inspired by a Japanese animation about an old man and a broom, I think, I forget however it had the sweetest neatest temporal type lick at the start I've never been able to get out of my head. Thanks for the listen and praise.

I do not agree with you, it is a complete song...may it is not quite a pop song, but I can't help with the genres. It is atmospheric and follows the vocals just fine. To me it was a very good work with these vocals turned to a full song. Well done.

I'm unsure. I listen too it now and I can just hear gaping holes of unsatisfactory noises. To me all I hear is what it sounds like when the the bin men come to pick up the rubbish on a Thursday morning. Jacks vocals are good. I may leave this one for another 7 years and get back to it.

Hey thanks for the ears. I had a plan I would instrumentalize all the acapellas I've down-loaded which is about 80. Some shared already. Some composites. About 15 or so are in mid production. but yeah for me to put energy into what I receive. I know you've done some banger collabs yourself which I've enjoyed the listen.

Hey thanks for the listen. One thing that I like about using vocals people have submitted here is that they're never existentially lazy, they have a meaning and resonance. A history and real human story behind them. Someone wanted to say something profound or even uncomfortable about their lives as maybe a form of Artistic Transubstantiation and my part of facilitating this as a Creative (through my works) is such a great honour.

I listened to your track carefully. Daisys vocal is demanding in this performancestripped, almost without melody, but not spoken either, and quite challenging to frame within a musical arrangement. You managed to dress it beautifully with a soft, atmospheric sound, with the instruments gently and respectfully placed behind the voice (very important), allowing the vocal to remain the dominant element in the mix. The string passages are beautiful, and the percussion is equally well crafted. (I would personally bring them slightly more forward in the mix.) It is an excellent piece of work, and completely outside conventional boundariesmuch like our own work. My sincere congratulations.

Why many thanks Chris and well received considering your impeccable productions which are the gold standard in form and balance in my opinion. In retrospect I could of automated the swells more however I was second guessing the tonal moves and wondering if my ears were taking me in the right direction. However it was a really nice piece to work on and I like the movement into less beats orientated works. Wishing you well with URBAN STORIES and all future productions. Respects and Regards also.
