What a phantastic track ... everything is well placed. The vocals are superb. Btw. I have used that string sample too before, but you got the perfect track for it! Bravo!

Micky
Hey, Hello and wow, you sound amazing... would you be interested in a project? im sure you get alot of msg but im interested in doing some fun creative just simply cool music
Paul this is GREAT!!!!!!!!!
I amazed myself with this one as I don't usually do this genre,
but you have taken it to a greater place.
I love the simplicity in the instrumentation and I am dancing right now!
Great job. :-)
I've listened to a lot of tracks on here where it's obvious the vocal track has been slapped onto an existing instrumental track but this sounds totally like a proper collaboration. It takes a fair amount of skill to achieve that when working with an acapella from here, so great work man. I'm not a massive fan of reggae if I'm honest, but yeah, this is pretty decent - nice vibe. Keep up the good work :)
Oh this is so very good, I love that groove! I'm a big fan of downtempo type stuff and this really has a hooverphonic type of sound. Excellent mix as well!
Well, I think this might be my favourite track so far. A very professional pop track. The arrangement was just great. Your mix, as usual, was excellent. Again, the bass part on this was really nice and I would have set it a bit higher in the mix to provide a counter-balance to Patricia's vocals. Reminded me of a Whitney Houston song, Wanna Dance with Somebody. Had the same great feel to it. Syncopation of the backing instrumental track was excellent in the arrangement. I'm thinking that you are actually a pro. Very fine musicianship.
Well, this is really, really special. The sax work by Leo Jannsen is just superb! Loved the congas as well. Did you play them? Is there anything you don't play? :)
Patricia is right. You've given her a Sade kind of treatment with with track. I think she must be very happy with the great tracks you are making with her vocals. I am enjoying all your tracks. Thank-you for posting them here on Looperman. I visit infrequently and if I hadn't seen your post in the forum about the acapella you were trying to located, I wouldn't have found your stuff. You deserve a lot more listens than you are getting.
I agree with Patricia. Love the bass on this track! I am getting more and more impressed with the music you are making. Very tasty reggae treatment on this one. Again, the mix was very nice and clean. I think the balance of vocals vs. instrumental backing was just right. You do really good work.
Really nice work on this. You've got a real feel for this kind of music, clearly. Lead guitar lines were great. And, so was the drumming. I assume that was you playing live. Toms sounded really nice and fat.
I actually think the mix could be improved a bit. I felt it was missing a bit of bottom end. Patricia's vocals and the lead guitar are generally in the same frequency range and the keys and snare are up there too I think. I think it would have benefitted by a heavier foundation. I couldn't download the track to check it on a spectrum meter plugin so am just working from what my ears are telling me. Mix was a bit thin, but overall another really good piece of work.
Hi Eric, thanks for all your comments! The low frequences are always a problem because I work with small speakers in a small room and I cannot hear what I am doing exactly, so the bass always stays a gamble. I have had a large studio for many years but I was fed up with that, I love working at home and have my studio just one door away.
This is really nicely produced track, Paulusx1. You've done a great job with the mix. Very clean. Nice arrangement. Patricia's vocals are such a joy to work with. We are really fortunate that she's making them available to us.
Talk about a powerhouse song. Vocals are, well, you cannot go wrong with Ms. Patricia. The addition of Leo's sax and your impeccable instrumentation, mixing and mastering skills, puts this song up there as one of the best I've heard in a while. This is top shelf material, radio ready, and extremely well done. A tip of the hat and a standing ovation to all three for a job well done. I hope all is well.
Love the good good vibes coming from this one.
It's awesome hearing such a creation come from just vocals.
Love the bass.
You really are an artist Paul!!!! :-)
