All in all a well done song. Good mastering, good mix. The idea of creating the musical theme as a kind of sonic music box is evidence of an imaginative, empathetic approach to music. Well done. Greetings Manuela
Peace King!!! Thank you I sincerely appreciate the compliment. Thank you for your insite as well. I had alot of fun making this record
Thank You again salute to you.
My gosh!!! wow! this is seriously SMOKINGGGG!!! HOT! it's taken RNB in a whole new direction and on a whole new level. This is mad cool! & from the start I just Knew this was going to be something extraordinary, Geezus!...This track just brushed away the cobwebs, opened a window & let the SUN shine in. So glad I heard this. Keep up the outstanding work.
I'm shook! lol...love this. Salute!
Loving the track. Flows really nicely. Just a tip. You can see there is a majur peak where you say "find". Bring that down and you will have more head room to enhance the mix as the rest is relatively quiet. Hope this helps.
Ok. So dont take anything as a negative as I am a very critical listener. Plus, I feel as if the goal is to uplift folks. Comments are just people’s personal opinions and preferences.
1. First thing is first, the mix. There are a ton of good elements in this track and a bunch of ear candy, but I feel like it could be more cohesive. Example: the rap is quieter than the chick singer.
2. Speaking of the chick singer; it seems she has a decent vocal but it’s completely not in the key of this track. This isn’t really a critique, because it’s just the fact unfortunately.
2. The guy singer with the auto-tune is in key, but at times it’s not properly modulated with the voicings of the instrumentation.
3. Like point 2, the “show me” voicings are clashing or competing with the voicings of the instruments.
4. I’m finding this to be very common, and that is this: the rap vocal needs a De-esser. The siblence of the “S’s” and “T’s” seem harsh.
THANK YOU I APPRECIATE THE FEED BACK I COULDN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO BALANCE ALL OF THE ELEMENTS OUT SO THANK YOU IF YOU HAVE ANY POINTERS I'M OPEN I USE ADOBE SUITE 6 & COOL EDIT PRO 2 THANKS FOR LISTENING MY GOAL IS TO GET BETTER
Ayyeeeee! I ain't heard from ya in a while bro. M.i.a. on Twitter. This is dope! Nice delivery as always. Hit me up. Id love to check out some of your latest work.
So, Red, I'm not really in to hip hop/rap music, although I do appreciate it as an important art form. It's not that I dislike it, its just that it tends to relate to a reality I've never experienced. BUT, I really did like this track. Nice and clear. Lyrics were easy to understand. I assume you did the vocal? Also, nice backing track.
I agree with others that the vocals were distorting. Not sure if that was intentional. The waveform display for the track showed that much of it was maxed out. I suspect that the vocal was recorded really hot and that the distortion was in the original goal track. I don't do a lot of vocals, but I'm pretty sure that if the distortion is in the original recording no amount of compression is going to eliminate the problem.
I try to keep the peak levels of all my individual tracks in a project at no more than -6 db, sometimes lower. Then I've got lots of headroom for mastering where the levels of the entire track can be raised up.
I used to use a standard set of Logic plugins on my master output bus for mastering. Still use some, but I've started experimenting with a couple of the online mastering services: Cloudbounce and LANDR. I don't produce a lot of tracks so the cost is pretty manageable.
Anyway, nice work. I will keep an eye/ear out on Looperman for more stuff from you.
Like Jody said. The vocals sound too loud. They are so loud they sound distorted maybe compress the vocals a little with a slight touch of the dbknob xD keep it comming!
Tite work Bruh !..Dig your flow !..the vocals sound like it could be clipping ..or did you put a distorted effect on it?
Keep up the good work.
Peace !
